Im going to go out on a limb here and say that maybe a lot of growers are of the college age. I know that for myself, i have to pay for my apartment, college, car, food, etc.. so when it comes to having the "best" grow room its not a possibility. For me i like to make things, so i suppose i could have gotten online and found a $2,000.00 grow set up, but i chose to go to home depot and build my set up. it seems a lot more rewarding when you get that oh so sticky sweet bud that gets you 1000x more times stoned then your dealers "best fire that he got so stoned on". best of all you didn't have to spend 60 an 8th on it.

maybe the smoker/growers that are doing really good in life, are really on the dl cause they have more to lose... and they have less of their peers who share the same views about weed; hence they tend to be quiet....

agreed.. Being in Chemical Engineering, a lot of people look at it like the devil. which is unfortunate, because they dont really understand what they are talking about. if i were busted, i could lose the potential for a six figure job in 15 months.

well off smokers are some of the most paranoid people i have ever met.... because like you say, there is alot to lose... i havent met too many btw.... mostly, i would imagine, either nobody at all knows cause they grow their own; or just their dealer knows....

There shouldn't be a connection between weed and cash.
But I see a trend that has begun long before I started noticing it and it
looks like it's only going to get worse.
I've been smoking weed for over 20 years, but that never slowed down
my motivation to excell in life......But that's just me.
I very rarely run into anyone who smokes/grows who has a decent job.
Why is this?
Is there a connection between people who smoke weed and not caring if they excell in life?
This is what gives marijuana a bad rap. If there were more succesful
people out there who smoke weed, Then just maybe people would feel
differently towards marijuana.

I have a good job , and i grow . I don't grow for profit , I don't grow for personal use (lung problems). I grow for fun or as a hobby . whatever i grow i give to my brother. sort of like being a chef and seeing the enjoyment you can spread

/walloftext I find through your posts i am like minded with you and i agree. im medical and it helps me live and do daily tasks, i am quite smart but because of me medical marijuana usage people discriminate me quite alot especially when people believe that one j is like 5 cigs. most teens who smoke today smoke because its cool and i know people in the College Scene (or w.e) who smoke to purely get fucked up they binge drink on a DAILY basis and they "don't care" when it comes to knowledge schools are more about fashion and making as many "friends" as possible rather than gaining knowledge which leads me to the fact that these people will be our country soon enough and they dont care about history sciences or even english lit. im not out making gazillions because im not about that, but if i wanted to i sure could im high and im rambling but yeah people have a stereotype in their head...teens believe pot propaganda use as scapegoat, regarding people starting half assed grows its not because theyre nessicarily poor but they dont believe that the 3k hydro set-up in your attic is worth it.....its my hobby. Famous people also smoke but do you think theyd be famous for very long if the DEA controlled public knew? /walloftext

Yeah id say im pretty poor right now, but really I don't care im having fun and to me thats all I really want to do.

im still young, so i dont mind being poor.... made poor choices as a youngster, also had kids at an early age; but we are trudging forward, not laying down and accepting where we are at in life.... wife is working on a law degree, im working on a skilled trade.... we wont struggle forever....
