Hey guys i have been here for a long time but i just ran into some issues at college. I have just found out that my college performs random drug dog searches of all the on campus dorms. I myself enjoy smoking marijuana while in my dorm and i have weed in my dorm. I was wondering how well drug dogs work at finding weed. Like how much can they smell, how far away.. what can i do to stop it?

It has been made clear that the searches are unpronounced and random, and they use dogs in the search, and lets assume they let the dog in my room for no reason... (because they can do that cause its their property.)

try hiding it in the ceiling or as far from the ground as you can...

If you or a friend has a cat, keep it around your weed for a bit. The smell of a cat will drive the dogs crazy and they can't concentrate on the weed smell.

no seriously, i think i seen a thread like this before on here, and somone said get a sock full of strong smelling weed, and go arround the entire dorm spreading the smell of weed on everything, to fuk the dog right up, not sure if this will work but it seemed like a ood idea to me

wow thanks guys for the quick responses. i know they are good... but can they smell a piece that has been cleaned with alcohol and is put away?

or how can i hide weed... peanut butter maybe?

Them dogs can smell your car seat where ones ass sat and then track you in the woods for miles. They will smell weed upto damn mile probably.

In stead of flying a plane or helicopter around they should put a dog on the back of a truck and drive threw the hood and wait for the dog to alert when he smells a grow.

You should watch or read Never Get Busted Again from Barry Cooper. It is informative. In general you cannot cover or hide the scent from a dog. You can distract it or put your stack up high so it is out of the dogs smell range. One other way that may also keep the smell from getting to the dog is make some special chocolate. I use dove dark and double boil it till it melts. Then take your stash and grind it up with a coffee grinder and dump it in. Mixx it up and poor it in ice cube tray. Freeze and remove. Now you got something that no one will smell.... and the oder is cut down to where the dog may pass it by.

ok well can they smell my bubbler if i clean it with alcohol daily? there is barely any resin on it at all.
