Hi All

I'm new to RIU. Been smoking a long time but only been growing for 2 yrs.
only 3-4 plants each time,so I buy in between harvests.

Lately I have noticed that the buds I buy are coated in something,under a microscope they look like cloudy triches (alot of them) not mushroom shaped but tubular. Some have stringy bits where they touch each other, same the way syrup or melted sugar does. Sore throat and headaches after tokin.

Just wondered if anyone else experienced this

sounds like you might be getting weed that ain't all weed. change connects. see if problem disappears.

I don't know how it is out there but I used to know a guy around his harvest time he would mist the plants daily with cola once the cola dried out the sugar crystals made the weed look well like it had 100 times more crystals then it actually did it also added weight to the harvest I am not saying this is exactly what it is as i am not looking at it but it is most likely someone trying to add more weight to the bags to squeeze out a bit more profit

My brother was telling me that vietnamese (I think) gangs mix silica with the ganja to add to the weight and make it look sparkly. Obviously smoking that shit might be very bad for your health. Proceed with caution.

I've heard of people coating bud in fine grains of glass to make it weigh more. Id ditch the dealer and maybe grow a couple more plants.
