I want to purchase a desktop PC but I'm not at all educated in computers and what the difference between them is so I could use some advice.

Heres some things i'm looking for

-Awesome graphics so I can watch shows and edit photography and video.

-Fast processor so I can do lots of task at once.

-Less than 1000 dollars or around that range.

    -Easy to use.

    Any suggestions????

    Would be much appreciated.

If you already have a monitor I'd suggest building your own PC. Even if you don't you can always find a cheap used one. The monitor doesn't really matter. The Guts are what you need to future proof. I bought my PC for around 2300 dollars. Its a beast has all the bells and whistles. It even lights up different colors that I can program. Currently running rasta colors. That said, without all the pointless lights and sliding spaceship like pieces, I could build a comparable tower for 700-800 dollars. The newegg site is my site of choice but there are competitors out there that will give you a better price. I just use newegg because I've used them before and they have my shipping info. Look up Desktop PC checklist and purchase every component. There are tons of DIY tutorials for putting a computer together so I won't go through it. It's not that hard. Its as easy as mounting a few things and connecting some wires. A mac is a horrible choice as they don't give retailers any give on the price. You can't get a deal and they come standard to keep you buying new machines ever few years. Make your own cheap and future proof your PC.

yer putting one together might be the best for you, new egg is always been my place too, and its better to get a fresh Os with out all the trial software you have to deal with when you buy a ready made and if you don't mind torrenting Windows you will save your self like $200

Don't go cheap on power supply units and get in the habit into using a grounding wristrap when you're touching the component. And go AMD.

Agreed but I'm not a big fan of AMD. Based solely on personal experience while they tend to be more stable and last longer Intel chips outperform.
Strange maze, what is this place? Hear voices over my shoulder, nothing's making sense at all...
