vaporizer or bong

Hey. Just wondering if anyone recommends using a vaporizer? Being a frequent bong smoker i'm not sure a vaporizer will give me the heavy high that i'm looking for/used to getting from the bong. I would be buying a portable vaporizer and after some research i have decided either a 'pax ploom' or...
