cinnamon oil

Hi all. So im on my second grow, my first grow i had thrip. Which i sorted by using crop guard laminaid th. Now however i have discovered spider mites. so the question: Is cinnamon oil effective? I have read around that it works. if so i will buy this as it will be far cheaper than anything...
