Yucca Extract / Saponin Activity

I've recently been intrigued by the role of Yucca in the rhizosphere. There's a slurry of various 'information' on yucca schidigera (Mohave Yucca), most of it pointing to saponin, a surfactent, said to increase the water/tea's ability to soak into smaller pores in the soil than otherwise. But is that it?

I wish I had the loot to cough up to view the full version of this article claiming that yucca extract has activity to prevent seedborne pathogens in sorghum wheat. But I don't. So I'll roll with the abstract.

I saw another article claiming that yucca extract aids in mining nitrogen for roots but I can't find that one now.

Does anyone else use and have any knowledge of yucca beyond simply its surfactent properties?

If you consult Roots Organic you'll see that a few of their products contain yucca extract as well as quillaja extract. (Quillaja extract is another saponin compound)
So they primarily use it for soaking.

But what about the antimicrobial properties?
Can anyone speak to that in more depth than the sharty internet article abstracts I can find?

I found a bag of pure yucca extract by N-P-K Industries off a new line called Raw.
Has anyone used Raw by NPK yet? Are all their products organic?
Their website isn't up yet or I'd post a link but basically their nutes are 100% of whatever it claims to be. I nabbed 2lbs each of 100% humic and 100% yucca for like 45$...
Intended use is like 1/4 teaspoon for 5 gals of their humic...
I'd call it a deal.
