Your thoughts on which way ?

Which way and why ?

A simple hood, at one end is the porcelain holder and wiring connections, the other end is open

Which way would you vent this - blow from the porcelain holden end first ? - blow from the open end first ? - Any industry standard specific way ?

OR would you vent by pulling air over the motor - sucking?

I am thinking from porcelain end first..........and to be honest, I am not sure why, only to say that then both wires from the light and fan are at both ends !

Could be a reason why - blow air from the porcelain end due to the wiring connections get colder air first - no chance of overheating those connections..!
