I am about to start a two plant bubbleponics grow and I've got a few questions....

I feel like going more towards coco pellets and fox farm big and chunky perlite vs rockwool and hydroton.

Does hydroton are rockwool have any advantages over the coco and perlite?

I plan to use cfl's for all of the vegging and a portion of the flowering. Exactly how many cfls should I use for vegging 2 indicas for 4-5 weeks? I have a flouro ballast that holds 2 40 watt tubes that I'd hang for the tops, but am unsure as to how many more cfls id need.

This goes the same for flowering except I have a 150watt hps.

They can not fall apart into pieces in the water. They were idealy made for hydroponics.

Here is a great thread for CFL questions, it even has a HOW MUCH DO I NEED section.

always a huge help roseman, I was trying to find that post because i've seen it before but with no luck. On to my next question, will the perlite be better instead of the hydroton for nutrient uptake and root oxegenation?

to roseman in paticular on youre bubbleponics system, is it alright if on the irrigation hub I have 2 hoses go into a net pot instead of just 1 or would that be to my disadvantage? thanks

I have no "perlite" knowledge or experience, so I really can't answer that.
I have read that if you wet a hydroton rock, and let it touch a dry hydroton rock, the dry rock will pick or or absorb moisture and that is why we use hydroton, for the transfer of the moisture. Also, I read why hydroton is ROUND, and it is to let air spaces between the rocks to let air in. I don;t know how well perlite will do that.

I was given an irrigation hub that had 12 spouts or connections from Stealth Hydro, to write a review on for them, and I tried it. I really can not tell any difference, but I can say for sure, if one tube gets clogged, you got the spare working for you. I'll use the 12 connector irrigation manifold again for sure.
