Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderbud

Hey I have a plant that is pretty far into flowering (6 weeks) and I just recently found a spider web connecting to two of the buds. Upon farther investigation I discovered a spider curled up sleeping on the top of one of the buds. I have heard that they can be good for the plant because they eat other bugs but what about this late into flowering? I don't want to be smoking spider and I don't want to find him (surprise!) in my bud later. Should I get rid of him or let him be?
Anything helps
Thanks.

pics of my plant at five weeks are on my last thread.

Hmmmm, let me see.... oh ya kill it !
Normal spiders won't web up on your plants. This sounds like spidermites and thats not good. Not as easy as just get rid of it. Inspect the undersides of all your leaves with a magnifying glass look for either dark or red spots moving, if so then you got spidermites and a big problem if they are webbing! Get back to me if thats what you have!bongsmilie

No its just a garden spider. The web is just like two separate strands connecting from two of the tops to a pomegranate tree that is next to it. Im almost a 100% sure that its not a spider mite because Ive seen them before around the area and it was pretty big like the size of a dime.
