young plants

Hello,

I was looking for a bit of advice. I've sprouted 6 plants and put them in the garden. Of the 6 plants, 2 are growing vigorously, 2 are sort of medium, and 2 of the youngsters just aren't growing much at all. I would expect there to be some variances in growth rates, that would seem normal. The difference here is 2 have 3 sets of leaves while 2 are still infants not even having there first primary leaves yet.

I'm only allowed to have 6 plants. Should I kill off the ones that aren't doing so well? They were all started and sprouted the same. The smallest ones took 3 or 4 days longer to emerge but seem weeks off of the growth rate of the others.

Thank you for any advice.

That seems to be par for the corse. Boys seem to grow faster for me too. Bummer to find balls on a 7 foot plant that you have been a slave to all spring. I have to agree with the last poster. Sometimes they come on big in september. Dot dismiss the little ladys , sometimes they kick pretty hard.--------mike

Right now the two small ones are like 2 inches and the 2 biggest are like 12 inches. I'm in socal zone 10. I think i'll let the be and start a couple feminized seeds. I believe they should show there sex soon since light is almost 12/12. If I read correctly, they will show sex then revert to a veg state? The seeds are some type of purple widow.

40 days later, these plants are looking great. I started 6 and 2 turned out to be boys. I'm left with 4 plants and the interesting thing is they all look different. They are all De Sjamaan Purple Widow seeds, but they all look different. I can see 1 plant has a lot of purple which is exciting. They are about 2 feet right now and they all kind of equalized a bit in size. 1 of the plants seems pretty lanky.. i'll have to post some pics but I'm thinking of killing that one to start some other strains. I'm allowed to have 6 plants with my prescription.
