my care taker bought sum Yoda Cush that aparently had a light poisoning in the grow and yield a bunch of fem seeds.

here 3 of them
after the first week

these are at 3 months

this is at 6 months the Yoda s are the three on the right the two on the left are sk# x SSH x Flo, and erkle X Flo.

my soil compositon for the whole grow is 1 part goranic potting soil, 1 part pearlite, 1 part wormcastings. for the veg stage i feed with diluted piss. for flowering stage i use fox farm Tiger Bloom bud builder.

thankx guys.

the yoda is Mostly Indica. Mostly indica. This is an upgraded selection of our Afghani/Skunk. Excellent yields, lots of flavor and a very good "up" high. Flowering time 8 to 9 weeks. Harvest outdoor 1st week of Nov. $120 seedpack from LOST SEEDShttp://www.cannabismarijuana.com/marijuana.html

look at the top of the tread there is a puuldown menu, under thread tools.

all cannabis can achieve upto 13 blades on a mature plant. if u notice our herb grows 1 blade, then 3,5,7,9........, but when it starts flowering it goes back to one bladed leaves

Gud genetics, you can't go wrong with that superstar lineup. I've never gotten to grow OG but I have tried Afghani and a few Skunk varieties. I still have the Afghani around in clone form, it's fantastic. The leaves have a blueish tint, I love it!

I don't use hermies to make seed. My Afghani woman has clones in all my friend's grow rooms. She came to me as part of 3 seeds a military friend of mine brought back from Afghanistan for me to grow. The Afghanis they were traveling with in convoy stopped to pick the plant growing on the side of the road. One of the three ended up being a male, I let him sling pollen on the other female before killing him. The female I keep for myself was the better of the two imo, completely different phenos but still great.

u don't make fem seeds from hermies. u kill hermies as not to pass on the trait.

RODELIZATION: SOMA'S WAY TO FEMALE SEEDS

Here’s an easy, environmentally friendly method for breeding feminized seeds.

Story by Soma

Creating feminized cannabis seeds is an art. Just like art, there are a few different methods of application. I have written about some of my different methods of making seeds in previous HIGH TIMES articles. I have used gibberellic acid, pH stress, light stress, and fertilizer stress to force my female plants to make seeds. All of these methods are harsh on the plants, and some, like the gibberellic acid, are not organic. In my search for cleaner, more earth-friendly ways of working with the cannabis plant, I have found a new way to make feminized seeds. Feminized seeds occur as a result of stress, rather than genetics. All cannabis plants can and will make male flowers under stress. Certain strains like a higher pH, some a lower one. Some like a lot of food, some like much less. There is quite a lot of variety in marijuana genetics, and you can’t treat every plant the same way.

It takes many harvests before you really get to know a particular strain. Just like getting to know human friends, it takes time. I have grown the same strains for close to a decade, and am truly getting to know every nuance the different plants exhibit. I can recognize them from a distance. I must say that I get a lot of help from my friends, both in making seeds and in learning new and better ways of working with this sacred plant.

I named this new method "Rodelization," after a friend who helped me realize and make use of this way of creating female seeds. After growing crop after crop of the same plants in the same conditions, I noticed that if I flowered the plants 10-14 days longer than usual, they would develop male "bananas." A male banana is a very slight male flower on a female marijuana plant that is formed because of stress. Usually they do not let out any pollen early enough to make seeds, but they sometimes do. They are a built-in safety factor so that in case of severe conditions, the plant can make sure the species is furthered.

To me, a male banana is quite a beautiful thing. It has the potential of making all female seeds. Many growers out there have male-banana phobia. They see one and have heart palpitations, they want to cut down the entire crop, or at the very least take tweezers and pluck the little yellow emergency devices out. I call them "emergency devices" because they emerge at times of stress.

In the Rodelization method, the male banana is very valuable. After growing your female plants 10-14 days longer than usual, hang them up to dry, then carefully take them off the drying lines and inspect for bananas. Each and every banana should be removed, and placed in a small bag labeled very accurately. These sealed bags can be placed in the fridge for one or two months and still remain potent.

For the next phase, you need to have a separate crop that’s already 2 1/2 weeks into flowering. Take your sealed bags of pollen out of the fridge, and proceed to impregnate your new crop of females. To do this, you must first match the female plant and the pollen from the same strain in the previous crop. Shut all the fans in the growroom down. Then take a very fine paintbrush, dip it in the bag of pollen, and paint it on the female flower. Do this to each different strain you have growing together. I have done it with up to 10 different kinds in the same room with great success.

I use the lower flowers to make seeds, leaving the top colas seedless for smoking. This method takes time (two crops), but is completely organic, and lets you have great-quality smoke at the same time you make your female seeds. If you’re one of those growers who’s never grown seeds for fear of not having something good to smoke, you will love this method.

You can also use this pollen to make new female crosses by cross-pollinating. The older females with the male bananas can be brought into the room with the younger, unpollinated females after they are three weeks into flowering. Turn all of the circulation fans on high, and the little bits of pollen will proceed to make it around the room. Do this for several days. Six to seven weeks later, you will have ripe 100% feminized seeds; not nearly as many as a male plant would make, but enough to start over somewhere else with the same genetics.

As a farmer who has been forced to move his genetics far away from where they started, I know very well the value of seeds. My friend Adam from ThSeeds in Amsterdam has a motto that I love to borrow these days: Drop seeds not bombs.

Thanks for that 'RODELIZATION' Lesson!!! Very interesting.

I'm just starting out with my first indoor system, with the aim of eventually running a full SOG in my closet!. Ive grown outdoors for years and only from bag seed with little glory due to pests and timing the equinox.

I'm re-motivated for this attempt since I've inherited a small 'Blueberry' female, cloned from a credible source. So I've been practicing my own cloning skills from her. Got 3 at 12days old so far, so good, Stoaked!!

Ive also given into the urge to germinate some seeds from a bag of weed in search of an alternate strain..
Now originally this particular bag contained a full ounce of rather nice, seed free smoke. Seed free! until it came to the end of the bag, There before my eyes, 2 healthy seeds clinked into the bowel with the last buds... This has happened on a couple of occasions over the years and often just counted them as potential hermaphrodite offspring from a hermaphrodite mother or just cross pollinated buds. Both of which I've never much bothered with. This bag was so nice i resisted the urge to throw them into the ashtray, thinking these might just be worth a try...

After reading a few posts including Kremnon's I'm thinking, I could quite possibly have myself 2 feminized seeds. Is this right?? Please forgive my dimness, I'm Stoned at 4am..
Is it really possible for a female in full flower capable of effectively pollinating herself and her sister clones around her with her own XX genes via these stray 'stress bananas'
I read on a separate post that "All female plants have the ability to produce A seed or more without actual pollination, in times of stress as a backup mechanism to prolong the species." basically self Rodelization. LOL. I'm presuming my 2 seeds are a result of this process. If not, they are more likely the result of a little stray pollen contaminating the previous growers room rendering them probably worthless to me.

Now im no genetisist tho I'm left with the question, If all females have this 'Backup Mechanism' could this be the cause or result of the genetic anomaly Hermaphroditus.??? therefor, programming my 2 seeds and Kremnon's rodelization method to all be potential hemies?
Does anyone know where 'Hermies' comes from?? I'm guessing its like asking where did herpes originate?... well at least i know where i got it!, Filthy MILF!!

For anyone whos still reading this for your interest I've quoted some relevant Wikipedia
"'In biological context, a hermaphrodite is an organism that has both male and female reproductive organs.[1]
Many taxonomic groups of animals (mostly invertebrates), do not have separate sexes (genders). In these groups, hermaphroditism is a normal condition, enabling a form of sexual reproduction in which both partners can act as the "male" or "female". For example, the great majority of pulmonate and opisthobranch snails and slugs are hermaphrodites. Hermaphroditism is also found in some fish, and to a lesser degree in other vertebrates."

So Since hermaphroditism is a normal condition I'm wanna ask Kremnon How many Rodelized seeds have you seen or know of, pull through the motions of life, resulting in 100% female everytime?

As i understand it, interbreeding in Vertebrates will often give the offspring greatly increased chance of developing genetic anomalies. A clash in the gene pool if you like. So I'm wondering can the same rule apply to Invertebrates?

I decided to go for it with my two anyway. I've a new trick to germinating seeds. By soaking them in the little Rootex hormone solution & water, left over from my cloning trial. For newbies reading this, the principal is, if they float to begin with their good, rotten or damaged ones usually sink after you dunk them a bit. After around 12-24 hrs the good seeds sink, letting you know the solutions penetrated the shell, germination's begun. Now place your seed's in the growing medium. Ive found this is undoubtedly the best method since it reduces the risk of damaging the delicate root once the shell finally pops. 99% success rate so far. Already worked for my two mystery seeds. I'll keep this spot posted on their result.

Ive bought myself one of tho's 90w Tri-Band LED's (ultimately to flowers under) and have the 14,000k 130w CFL (for vegies) in the post. Ill post some pics on a new thred at a later date. Save jackin this one.

Thanks for reading my smashed ramble. Cheers Kremnon!
