Yet Another Super Soil Question

Happy Birthday Subcool! Sparking one in your honor :bigjoint:

I have a few plants right now in 3½ gallon Air Pots of Happy Frog about 45 days from germination and already over a foot tall. I just flipped them to 12/12. Is it feasible to "Super Soil" (verb) these pots by adding the ingredients to the top of the soil and letting the water move the nutrients to the roots? Or is that a bad idea? Should I just Botanicare or Fox Farms bottled nutes this round and go Super Soil© next round?

Btw, next round will be Vortex on your advice. Jah willing, creek don't rise, Po Po don't come knocking, I'll post some pictures in about 6 months :blsmoke:

I know people want me to give a stamp of approval to alternative methods but the truth is crop after crop year after year I do the same thing over and over. 7 gallon pots using super soil in bottom and base on top.
No other method I have tested in 40 years works this well so the closer you follow my instructions the better your results will be.

3 is way to small for a root base IMO

Air Pots I dont use the soil drys out to fast.

Top dressing will help yes but your going to run outa food fast.

Sub, thanks for the reply.

I wasn't trying to change your recipe. I just stumbled on your YouTube channel and became interested in how you do things after my current grow was well under way.

Oh, look here what came in the mail today!!!

Vortex.jpg

That's a 5 pack of Vortex from the 'Tude. That will be the next grow and I plan on documenting it here starting sometime after the first of the year. Looking forward to posting a Vortex grow and smoke report in a few months :weed:
