Yellowing clones.. every time

this is the third time this has happened. clones look great first few days, then the center growth yellows. my t5 lights are a good 15" away. I use a dome for the first 2 days to help humidity.

last time they yellowed like this, it took about 20 days to develop good roots.

what do you think is causing this yellowing?

I was tripping hard I was given 18 clones from two really good plant/strains and they started turning pale/yellow. Then the edges of leafs started dying, then some leafs all together turned brown and fell off. I was sure they were going to die, my friend said don't give up until they fall over. They are starting to root!!! I am stokety stoked...

yeah my clones usually pull through, but it takes twice as long as it should??

I even bought a heat mat. I have had clones in the past(same strain) not yellow and root in 10 days. maybe a temp regulated box would help? seems a bit excessive.

I'm pretty sure its a lack of nutrients, probably nitrogen.as was previously stated. I saw this often when I was using water only to clone with and foliar nutes. Now I flood my clones rockwool with a light but complete nute solution and supplement carbs. ( sweet, molasses, etc. ) and haven't had the problem since.
