If you have mycelial knots or primordia, you might consider a light sprinkling of a pasteurized casing. If they are failing, your problem is himidity. The light sprinkling helps retain that humidity but it is too late for a proper case.

Scraping and then casing will work but expect diminished yields and be sure your humidity is high.

I really appreciate all the advice thank you! What would you recommended using as a substrate to go with coir and verm? I've read quite a bit about spent coffee grounds but heard they raise the risk of contamination. Got my first pins today!

Grain, manure, straw, anything with high nutritive value. The point is in the difference between high value substrate and liw value casing. Onr of the reasons pf tek works is that none of it is very high, so the casing is actually in the mix. The vermiculite is of no value but it retains the water that ground up grain cannot long supply.

I once did jar to jar transfers in totally unsterile conditions and farted bare ass into the jar afterwards. Days later green trich was growing in it as well as mycelium. I put it away for a few weeks and when I looked again there was only mycelium growing in the jar.

Keeping an eye on your grow @MinnesotaHomegrown303 I am totally new to this and well behind you but I am going to do the coco and verm bulk substrate. I have heard ewc but have not read further into it as another nutrative source. It may be something to give a try if I can find some success with coir and verm.

The green was encased. It showed up again didnt it.

And then let fruit,and sold the bag to finshaggy,who declared them delicious,and he started the church of latter day flatus..

Ive Read good things about ewc. Thinking about adding that soon after I perfect a few other steps. Coir and verm seems to be working decent but not the results I was expecting.

I have not really found any tek on using ewc. I am making 11 grains jars, 10 for two monotubs and 1 for g2g. If I cannot find any tek about ewc I might just add some to the mix but not sure if it needs to be pasturized, also I have bagged ewc and worm bin ewc, the worm bin stuff is far more biodiverse, I know it is better for canna but could it cause contamination, idk. I will find out myself with time.

Probably won't cause contamination if its pasteurized but might make the mix more susceptible
