Xenforo Update?

Have noticed a bit of forum weirdness the last couple days and I don't know whether it is a Chrome/Android update for me or a Xenforo update for you all, but every time I try to select the link icon to put a link in a forum message, it flashes for a brief second and then disappears. No way to add a link to a forum message other than cutting and pasting directly into the body of the post.

Also, on the new posts section, it doesn't seem like you have the option to go to the very last post in the thread, it looks like when you select a topic, sometimes it takes you to the very first post in the thread and sometimes to the very last post in the thread. Can't readily reproduce that one, but it has happened.

NBD on this one but I'm still hoping somebody's working on a Dark Mode function here on RIU.

I'd try rebooting the device you're experiencing that on. Also make sure the little settings wheel (Toggle BB code) in the upper right of the text dialog box is on otherwise you won't get the options you're used to in the text box.

As for the New Posts function if that post has been deleted the behavior you're describing is what you could see.
Hope that helps

This appears to be a you problem, i would clear your cache. toggle bbc which is in thereply box looks like a gear.

we dont need a xenforo update.
and we arent making a dark mode, all those have been discussed and explained by in the support form, best to usually read the most recent ones

new posts is just that , its new, so if you have never read the thread before and the first post to you would be post number 1, not not 300 if that's the latest.
its specific to your account you would go to new post than click the last page be that 12 or 1097 or whatever the last page is .

This is probably a Samsung/Android issue. Is reproducible using a Brave browser with absolutely nothing in the cache, and with Chrome in incognito mode on my Tab S8 Plus. When I use the Tab S6 or Pixel 7, all is normal. The disappearing link dialog box is the most frustrating, so I'll just use the pixel or the s6, nbd.

I do screenshots to show you the difference in the new post section but I'm too busy pressure cleaning the deck.

Thanks for your help!

Son. of. A. Bitch. All I had to do the last year was click the little gear and all my reply options would have worked for me?!? I was super bummed when those all went dark and had given up on ever being able to use them again. Thanks for letting me know about this fix!!!

Here's how the New Posts screen looks with the S6:

new posts s6.jpg

And here it is on the S8+:

new posts s8+.jpg

There's no option to pick a page number, when I click the link it just takes me back to the very first post in the thread.

I thought maybe you all had updated the Zenforo package because it was a easily reproducible bug, at least on my end. :-)

Hate landscape mode, never use it, awkward to hold. I'll deal with it, nbd
The other option to avoid landscape mode on Android is to click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and turn on desktop mode. It accomplishes the same thing without landscape mode. For me, it makes the print too small though.
