I've been feedig my plants using the flora series and other nutes same amount everytime. Every other watering and today when I was checking on plant I saw this? Could it be a nute burn? I haven't had this problem before on other feeding this is the only affected plant out if the 6 what could be wrong. Also it looks like the only affected areas are by the top buds only .image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg

Yeah for potash I'm using big bd by advanced nutes temps avarage from 75-85 60 -65 when lights are off. 1000w hps in apart from plants exactly.

That's
Looks like nute burn to me.
That's what I was guessing so just incase I did a "emergency" flush the moment I saw it but at the same time I wasn't too sure because i was using the same feedig schedule I've been using the past two weeks well three they just entered 3 weeks today.

85 degrees it to hot. Ideally you should never go over 78 degrees. I've read once you cross over 80 degrees plant functions (respiration, metabolism ect) start slowing down. So add to that 1000 watt HPS that is max stress. It's kind of like hypothermia for humans the body shuts down the extremities to protect the core. I'd lean towards having actually burned the leaves with light and temps. If you haven't changed your nutes I'd recommend raising the lamp. If that's not an option I'd turn the ballast down. My 1000 watt ballast does 600,750, and 1000. If that's not an option either an air conditioner would also solve the problem.

I don't use electronic ballast not my thing I prefer magnetic. So mines doesn't have an adjustable wattage meter. Well I heard people tell me they grow outdoors and temps are usually around or over 90 and I quote " my girls are sitting outside and temps are around 90-95 deg where in at I don't hear my plants bitchin". So I assumed 80' to mid 80s wouldn't be a problem but it won't hurt to raise the light I knownof I raise it will dip temps to 75-78 since that's what it was before I lowered it. I lowered it about 4 weeks ago and the plant affected really has not grown in height to be honestly which is actually very strange to me. It's just blowing up with buds werywhere on the stem. But I'm not complaining. Just find it odd.

with some added CO2 and a little more diligence in pest prevention, anything under 90 is workable, but try n keep it below 82.... n if u got high temps, make damn sure u aint got high humidity too! Thats a deadly combo...

Inside and outside are 2 different beasts from what I understand. Needless to say the light is different. I've burned my leaves with my 1000 W ballast before from being to close and the temps were 76/78 much less than summer daytime temps. They can only get so close to the bulb (1000w) irregardless to temps. So I know it's possible and unfortunately it's from experience. Now my 600W is different story I've had several flowers within a couple inches of the glass on the hood with no issues.

Yeah I understand that but the thing is that is the shortest plant out of my 6 and that's why I'm convinced it couldn't be a burn . Light have been on for 2 hours now so it's pretty warm and where I'm at temps are dropping. Also my grown tent is inside at shed I have in my back yard and it's pretty cold inside I noticed the temp has drop to 79 and has stayed there for now. It could be a possible that it might be heat burn since the tips of some hairs are light brown tone

If you mentioned you used co2 I missed it and then the temps wouldn't be an issue. Are all the plants from the same mother? Each bean is different even if they are from the same batch of seeds. It is always possible that one plant is more sensitive than another. Depends on how "stable" the strain is.

Could that plant have dried out to much in between watering? That could be all the difference in the world. As far as being able to handle the environment a few days ago but not the day it burned??

The title pretty much says it all. I did not start from seed I started from clone since it's my second grow next grow I will do seeds. I just wanted to get a better understanding of growing starting with clones. And I have 4 different strains. 1 cherry pie, 1 purple kush, 1 grandaddy purp, 3 Girl Scouts

Also the reason I'm growing 4 different ones is because I wanted to try each one of those four to choose what I would like to grow for my self.

Unless my outdoor temps are below 50-53 degrees I've got to run A/C. That's pulling in max fresh air with 2 - 6 inch vortex fans. It's a 4 x 600W set up wall to wall with flowers so lack of space means heat build up.

By the way I forgot to mention if it were heat burn would the tips be dried and crunchy? My tips are still soft no crunch or dryness
