So if a woman gets pregnant, in order for her to legally have access to an abortion, she and the father would have to legally consent to it.

Would you support or oppose that?

reasoning..

men can and do, get women pregnant all of the time and walk out and leave that woman all alone at any time well before the child is ever born, leaving the woman on her own to raise said child.. when a woman has the same chance to walk away from a pregnancy and leave the father to continue to bring that baby to full term, and also to raise that baby after it's born, then i'll consider needing a father's permission for a woman to get an abortion, but until that day arrives, i say it's bs.

This is a common question I've heard from pro-lifers. Like the background of a situation has any bearing on it. IF they were trying to be safe, THEN they can have an abortion. But IF they weren't trying to practice safe sex, THEN the woman should be forced to carry the child to term? It's bananas I don't get it.

If someone feels an abortion is the best thing for them, they should get one. If someone hates abortions, they shouldn't get one.

Oh I also do not think the father of said cluster of cells should have veto power of an abortion. Her body her choice.

Oh I knew that, you're not a nutter.

But it is pretty comical, or actually sad, that that's a valid "argument" the pro life people put forward.

Another question on this, how the fuck would people know if the person that said they were the father and signed their permission for the abortion was actually the father? They going to be doing in vivo paternity tests at 4 weeks? The whole thing is ridiculous.
