Would you guys recommend more space?

I've got two autos (popped may 17th) and they have outgrown a 120x60x160 very quickly. Would it be beneficial to invest in a bigger tent for future runs, or learn to train effectively? Light penetration is terrible, and there has been a LOT of defol done to compensate for the cramped space. To me it seems far to crowded for week 6 out of 12/14, but I might be stressing over nothing.

This is five days of stretch. Should I consider relocating them ASAP into a taller tent, or just hang in there and dim the lights if they start to stress? I look to have around 8 weeks left...I'm sceptical that I can make it with 11" left to the boards. Even dimmed down to 70%, it's hitting 1730 umol in the centre according to the apogee I hired from the hydro shop.

Looks like the taller heads there might be getting minor light stress as they are lightening a bit (bit of nutrient burn makes it hard to decipher, but it's only hitting the top leaves), and stretching. The whole canopy is a shade lighter than anything lower.

I have another in the tent beside it with GDP as well, planted at the same time, and it stopped vertical 10 days ago and started stacking. At 4ft including the pot.

Having that much foliage is upping the humidity terribly in the tent as well. It's currently 45% in the room, but 70% in the tent, with an exhaust running, and I'm waiting on air con to rock up as a remedy. When it's 60ish percent in the room, the tent gets up to 90% humidity during lights out. It's terrifying.

A word on a bigger tent, it's great having a slightly bigger tent for various reasons, i have space for my heater/dehumidifier, it's easier to maintain temperature inside it, i've got some room myself to work in, I use a 5x5 which gives me a good size canopy with plenty of airflow around it without being up against the wall (mostly :-))

40% outside 70% inside there's room for improvement, here's something to try, it'll tell if it's your inlets limiting the airflow or the fan.

Unzip the bottom 1ft of your tent door to let in as much air as the fan can move and see what difference it makes.

I shouldn't have been a stinge from day one and just committed properly lol. Started with a 70x70x160 and ts600 which I filled in four weeks, then to a 100x50 and 120x60 at the same time, filled them in five weeks, now I'm looking at a 4x4 or 5x5. Ended up spending far more than I should have if I just bit the bullet and got a 5x5 from day one....I was new to autos indoors, and 99% of people generally said indica heavy autos are small, and rarely hit 4ft. The general consensus was 3 in a 120x60x160 was an easy fit with room to spare.

All up I've got 440w worth of quantum board (Meanwell/lm301b) and four of these stacked e27 splitters (90w each, mix of 4x15w 2700k household globes, and two 15w 3000k/660/740nm LEDs). All up 800w so I should be right on the money if I wanted to pack it.

The biggest issue is heat stuck at the top now. The carbon filter sits below the lights, and the lights are up against the mylar...had to get numerous CPU fans to blow air towards the filter lol. The 4" fan ain't cutting it.

What do you run exhaust wise for a 5x5? I need the extra space as I'm 6 foot 5 and 270lb. It's hard to cramp myself in there to look for any stress signs without burning myself and sweating everywhere like a Gronk.

I use a 6" systemair sileo L2 720m3 set to around 25% power and running continuously atm, normally its thrmostat controlled but the warm weather allows me to run constant ventilation.

I've learned that constant but slow extraction has no peaks or dips just a steady rise and fall in temp/humidity over 24hrs.
Most important and the driving force behind it was stealth.

I'm 6ft slim build and I've got trouble dodging everything in the tent I can only imagine your scenario being 6.5ft lol.

I have two unused 4" filters (300mm long, 50mm bed) with a rating of 150 cfm each, a bunch of ducting a T-junction, and an 8" fan spare. Would these do the job, or would it be advantageous to get something with pwm control and a decent warranty? I'd assume the 8" will pull far too much air being 700cfm, without pwm control.

I have a feeling what I have spare might be a bit overkill for a 5x5.

Ended up supercropping the top couple of heads (they were 9" from the lights). Cropped around 6" down from the top. Were doubled over...looked horrible, but within 7 hours they are standing up again...

They were limp af and doubled over....thought they'd take a while to spring back up. I'm definately getting a second screen, and crop/tie the taller tops horizontally along the screen.

Ended up getting a 8x4x7 tent for next run, so I should be good for space lol. Shits getting real
