Would You Be More Offended If....?

If you were put into the hospital with a bad illness(not life threatening, but pretty bad), would any of these actions be more or less offensive to you than another? Each of them would be done without your consent or notification.

Your friend's born-again grandmother said a prayer for you at her church(but didn't name names or personal info)

Your sister's wiccan friend did a health spell for you.

Your roommate's voodoo priestess aunt did a voodoo ritual for you(aside from the moral issues of animal sacrifice)

Your mother's catholic co-worker prayed the rosary 20 times for your health.

Would it bother you any more for any of these to be done than another? If so, why?

i agree with slo.. why on earth would i care about what some other person does in my name? well, shit like what you posted i'm referring to and not going out and killing someone and saying its in the name of racerboy, lol...
i'm one of the least religious peps you will ever meet, but if it makes some one else feel better praying for me to whatever god or tree or sun that they worship, so be it..

The only time id have a problem with it is if it was done at the exclusion of traditional treatments. But since we are in a hospital, I guess that's not the case. I would also be offended if the person was trying to charge for the service. Otherwise, no harm, no problem.

If I were forced to pick one, it would be the voodoo chick. I'm guessing she holding some good herb. My sisters wiccan friend has potential as well.

I'd be afraid she did a "hell" spell on me. That would just piss me off.....WITCH.

This is about the 5th thread regarding religion crap today. Is the earth going to implode tonight? Did I miss something? Shit....I haven't watched the news for a day or two. Guns, bud, water, and food now packed in the backpack.

Interesting to see your responses, and pretty close to my suspicions.

The reson I ask, is that out of all of these, as far as I know, only Wicca would frown upon doing (positive)magic for someone who wasn't aware or didn't explicitly state that it was ok. To do so without their consent would be considered a form of manipulation, and could be referred to as "black magic". This could be true of voodoo as well - I don't know enough about voodoo to speak for that.
