Would you be interested in seeing a head to head

I am finishing up my first run with a my notoriously unfavorable black dog led( kiss my ass it's a great light). I plan to run a full canopy on my next round and I need another light. I have decided on the timber 4vl based on my convo with rain Dan. However... I plan on running a head to head between my blackdog and the timber in the same space with the same everything. The timber will provide light for 3/4 of the canopy and the black dog will do 1/4 . The strain is royal bubblegum Xl..promix hp with mychroriza using GH Flora trio nutes, calmag, and some molasses plus liguid Kool bloom in flower. Is my experiment ok ? I realized that I will have light spill from both lights into the same canopy. I may be too stupid to realize a flaw in my plan.what say you guys( I know you are very opinionated) and.....go

its hard enough when you try to control everything and have one variable but there are really too many differences (spectrum, intensity, efficiency, light distribution) between the two, esp in the same tent with overlap, a little bit of efficient white light spilling over on the girls under your blackdog will prob yield phenomenal results, and help offset anything it would be lacking relative to the cobs

Good point...I want to do my first grow journal as well so im gonna procede with this plan and see what happens. Thanks for your input!

any way to drop a blackout curtain between the two lights?

i have considered doing a side x side run of my f-strip leds vs 600 hps. i would have to drop a curtain between the two as i would have light bleed over as well.

Yes that is possible but probably bad for overall circulation and airflow...I think I will just mix the two spectrums. My grow area is 2x5 so the far left plant would only get the timber and the far right plant would get both. I could still perceive some difference in results that way I imagine but it wouldn't be a true head to head comparison

my grow area is 4x8, so i could put a curtain in the middle with 3 to 4 plants on each side.

i will have to harvest and plan such an event. plus i would want to run the same strains, etc...

someday i will try it, if i don't go full LED before i get the chance.
