Would something like this work well for a stealth grow?

Originally, I was planning on doing a stealth PC grow as it best suits my current situation but then i found these and thought I'd ask on here what the experts' opinions were. Here the cab is:

The 2nd set is wider and may be better?

Those look like wicked speakers. I would rather listen to them than use those as a grow box - personal opinion.

You can make one for a lot less than that.

Although if you are going to gut those - which personally makes me sad - then that depends on how determined you are to make them work.

Ive got a couple of those sitting around that arent quite as tall. Ive thought about it before, and im almost positive I could get it to work.

I really wanted to try it when I was living in a dorm... I know I could have pulled it off... but im too chicken. haha

I say go for it. I would try it myself if I actually needed a stealth setup. Look how much these fuckers are charging, and it's only a single speaker.

Wow those really play music too. I wonder if it sounds good....

I would be worried if cops came in and did search that they would check the speakers - remove the grill and look for a stash.

Well if it doesn't work out with the speakers if you keep them in tact let me know.

so you guys think the speaker grow is better than the PC (computer) ones? Its just for personal consumption, if that helps at all :S

What about the size of these speakers... are they too tall? They seem awfully tall for a 1-2 plant set up (there only 10" deep).

If you're looking to get more than a quarter ounce per plant, go with the speaker grow. PC grows will only make you wish you had gone bigger.

Will the speaker grow really yield that much more than the PC?

Look at the difference in height clearance(using this unit as a comparison). Taller plants means more budding sites.

You don't have a closet or a pantry? That would be a lot easier and much more quiet plus concealed.

Visitors are not going to go in your closet. Not even your family.
