Would 12/12 increase quality?

Quote from the article, Effects of light quality on the accumulation
of phytochemicals in vegetables produced in controlled environments: a review.

Ali et al found that the highest concentrations of betaiynin, chlorophyll, total antioxidants and total polyphenol in five selected vegetables occurred under a 12 h photoperiod, and the lowest concentrations occurred under a 24 h photoperiod.
Seems to be a pattern of increased secondary plant products with 12/12. Has anyone ever tried it with an auto and noticed a difference in quality?
