Strain: Skunk-47 (from World of Seeds).
Growth: 7.5/10. Very bushy and short (26" tall). Nice thick buds and clones fairly well.
Nutes: I run the entire Fox Farm line up (including additives) for soil. I grow in 3-gallon pots filled with FFOF soil cut by 20%-25% with perlite. With this strain you can't run the nutes at the recommended strength in mid and late flowering. During veg, nute the hell out of it! But during flowering it seems to suddenly become quite nute-sensitive around week 4 of 12/12. I have had the same problem several times with this strain.
Yield: 2.89 ounces (dried, fully cured for 4 weeks, de-stemmed). Quite disappointing personally.
Bag Appeal: 9.5/10. Very pretty. Vivid bright green buds with a nice coating of orange pistils all covered in a very visible white sugary coating of trich's!
Smell: Typical Skunk #1 scent, but with an almost "minty" undertone to it. Quite appealing.
Taste: Very nice. A nice mix of your typical upper-end skunk taste and grapefruit/citrus.
The High: Absolutely wonderful. Surprisingly cerebral and uplifting. No signs of couch-lock at all. Makes me want to get out and do yard work.
Comments: I really like this strain. It's very appealing visually and taste/smell-wise, but the real clincher is that high!!! Unfortunately, it doesn't yield so well and it's a bit of a pain to grow because it becomes so nute sensitive during 12/12 that it is damned near impossible to not burn her somewhat. Another strain that I will keep perpetuating one plant per grow. I just can't justify using up a grow room for a full grow of 8 plants of this, not when other strains I have are very similar and will yield double that amount!!!:weed:
