u say short flowering, yea i saw that on the packet a couple week early.

these are 100% sativa ?
Can't say 100% for sure but but the bud structure, thin leaves & sativa high it's defiantly pretty close. I've had some landrace sativa that were supposed to run for 14-16 wks but my pack had 3 pheno's that finish at 11-12 wks. So it's possible to find those shorter flowering sativas & breed with them I know I am.

So...who has grown and sampled any of the following WoS landrace strains? I am very interested in growing some landrace strains indoors in the future. Thanks!

* Wild Thailand
* African Kwazulu
* Pakistan Valley (I've seen some positive reviews of this)
* Kilimanjaro
* Columbian Gold (may be a challenge indoors in my smaller space)
* Brazil Amazonia
Ha, good timing. Not terribly impressed so far. They interested me because I wanted some strains to breed on. I grabbed the African Kwazulu, Pakistan Valley Kush, and Columbian Gold.

Ran the whole pack of PVK's, 4 sprouted tails, 1 broke soil, scrapped it because it looked like shit. Would recommend a different breeder, haven't found any regs elsewhere yet. Replaced these with Afghan Kush (White label) and Pakistan Chitral Kush (Cannabiogen), to be run yet.

Currently vegging the Columbian Gold. Fared better on the seed quality at least, too early to tell how it will go, they're about 4 weeks from breaking soil in 2gal pots. Have 5 to select from, culled 3 so far based on various criteria.

Haven't popped the African Kwazulu yet.

One run I was impressed with recently, in reg form, was this Panama from Ace Seeds, they have some reg landrace strains. Just grabbed some Sandstorm from them, supposed to be a Moroccan male. The Panama was a good representation of an old school sativa. Got 2 very nice females and an awesome male out of a pack.one of the female phenos took me back to the 70;s when it was always around. Really psychedelic head stone, eyes bulging, nice change up from all the hybrids I normally smoke. This pheno took only 70 days under COBs.

Well it was a mixed result, somewhat disappointing comparing it to the CG of the 70's, but has some potential regardless. I ended up flowering 2 ladies and a male. Male was good but just used it once to grab some backup seeds. The one female turned out to be purple (kind of weird but I've read since that there are some purple phenos in Columbian varieties). It's also one of the strongest punch strains I have, strong head stone. Smell and flavour were "ok", very earthy with a strange undertone which I haven't been able to pin down, something in the range of sage? Not the best flavours so I crossed that female with one of my killer males to see what pops out. That cross made the largest seeds I've ever seen (see comparison below). Won't have a chance to run any until February when I can get back to popping seeds.

I will say out of the pack most were uniform looking plants in vigour & form. The purple pheno stood out from a smell perspective on a stem rub against all the others, much louder and sweeter smell in veg. But I was somewhat disappointed in that it does not represent what I remember CG to smell & taste like from the 70's.

Here's the finished keeper pheno at harvest and the seeds it produced when I hit it with my Blue Ripper male.

For perspective, the smaller seed on the left is a larger than normal seed produced by my Blue Ripper strain, typically larger than average seeds. The BR x CG cross on the right produced seeds that are more like golf balls ;)

I guess I'll be popping those kilimanjaro freebies, I ordered 24 Golden tiger (Thai x Malaforwi) Regs seeds, looking for a good male to produce f1's this summer. I want to grow the hybrids next year.

If you cross a male auto over the Malawi female it will take 2 or 3 weeks off the flowering time.

When WOS borned their catalogue were full of lies, like their "Colombian Gold" lookin like a Skunk/Indica": WOS said that their Colombian cames from a line that started to work...: El Libertador Simón Bolívar!!!
When people read this n another shit (even the Venezuela Embassy laughted when read the Bolívar WOS history...), people started to call WOS liars.
In one forum, like I was very critic against the WOS owners lies, the forum present to my a lot of WOS seeds to test: a lot of shit.

PD: at least WOS endin undertandin how a real Colombian Gold looks, thanks to the people...
WOS kows me as Miguel aka MiG, btw...
