I pour my alcohol solution straight onto parchment in a pyrex dish. I have never had a problem with the alcohol reacting with the parchment. However the full organic parchment was a bitch to get the goods off of. I put the dish somewhere dark and dust free to just evap @ room temp with a fan. You will be left with a yummy looking oleoresin after 24-48hrs. Then just transfer parchment to vac chamber and vac @ 110. always get super stable clear ass shatter. You could leave it in the sun at 100 deg and it won't melt down at all. I suggest to all to try evap without heat. I think that is where a lot of people lose flavor, and then say winterized isn't as tasty. If I could load pics for you I would, but for some reason RIU won't let me upload.

ive been using that organic paper for a whileeeeee. used to use reynolds. but you know, with all this hippy shit, went organic :p ..

i may give the reynolds another whirl with the alcohol on it. thanks!

^ nice work Guzias. That is the same reason I went organic parchment. Yeah reynold is all I use. Hard part is folding it into a dish without making any holes in the parchment. it gets holes easy when creased. Funny you say you might give it another wirl while I will prob. do without on next run. Gotta see for myself which is better. We all like things a little different. My opinion is always winterize. After you see what stays in the filter it is fucking gross. I also did a small non winterized run today, and it is super dank, but side by side just looks almost nasty next to winterized. LOl. I have become such an oil snob this past year.

Have any of you guys ran straight ethanol side by side with everclear to see if there is a taste difference. I personally can't taste a difference, but see a huge difference in price. Going everclear from now on. No more $50 pints of ethanol.

i only have expeience with 99 iso and 195 everclear.

did side by side tests one time. everclear did turn out all around a bit easier, and prettier..

99iso just a bit longer to get rid of moisture i guess..

I have been told not to use iso cause it is too strong. Whatever that means. I think it was something on destroying monoterpenes.

honestly, this past three weeks ive done 3 batches of 40, 70 and 70 , using a 10 to 1 everclear ratio, now i wasnt expecting shatter because it wasnt shatter to begin with

but all sense of stability is out the window.

now i admit i fucked one of the batches up on accident by decarbing it overnight at 115, what a fucking move that was,

I guess its time to make some capsules or have a fun experiment.,

i could have used some extra funds but i guess everythings a learning experience.

right now 36c at 29.5hg forever, a couple of whips , one looks more stable then the other.

but im assuming that batch got decarbed, derppppp
