Wilting Clones and Slow Growth after Transplanting into Soil

Im currently working on my third crop of clones takin from my snowcap plants. These clones were taken from the mother plants after two weeks of flowering. I rooted them in a pearlite that wicked moisture from a tray beneath and was covered with clear plastic to increase the humidity. Iv had great success with rooting the clones so far, but every time I transplant them into the potting soil, they begin to severly wilt within 14 hours of being tranplanted. Does anyone know what the problem may be? Iv been giving them a very light fertilizer and there dont appear to be any other problems.

It is possible the soil is pulling moisture out of the Perlite or whatever you have it in? Maybe water a little more?

actually, Im transplanting from a pearlite only medium(used only to make the cuttings root) to a potting soil mixture. The soil seems to be thoroughly moistened due to the twice daily waterings I have given them. Any other ideas?

Twice daily waterings in soil? That could be ur problem keep it a lil moist but I personally water my seedlings one week after cutting and again 1 week later and transplant other than ONE daily foliar spray they don't get much (note I never use ferts until 1 week after transplant) 100 percent success with this way I use peat pellets and an alcohol based rooting hormone.

But It kinda sound like ur soil may be packed too hard? I didn't see any pics but maybe? Peace and smoke

Never fertilize your babies at this stage, they wont be able to handle it as of now. You want to give it a week or two to developed a soild root system.

What kind of soil are you useing, I hope its not the cheap brand. You dont want to cheap out and want the best for your girls as they are younging.

I hope I helped

Good Luck
