i'm thinking of using a 2ft 4 bulb HO T5 for veging and switching to red bulbs for flowering. also going to put a few cheap walmart grow lights up and down the sides of the closet for supplemental light. i think the t5 is right at 100watts. and unsure of the cheap walmart lights. the closet i'm growing in is 2 1/2 ft square. and i only plan on 1-2 plants. probably 2. i plan on using small autoflower varieties. i'm looking for varieties low in THC and High in CBD, if anybody can recommend any?. i've grown with cfls before with great results but never used t5 grow lights. i know it isn't ideal and the plants won't get as big, but will they still be decent? i just need something for the time being and this is what i have to work with.

i take it the light you have is in the 5000k to 6000k range? if so why not buy another 4 bulb light, with the 2700k to 3000k? mix the bulbs (as in two of each in the fixtures). that way you have extra light for flower. there are people on here that flower with 5000k to 6000k so they never have to change their lights. you could always add some 13 or 23 watt cfls to your grow, i think they are 5 or 6 to a box for about $7.00 at wally world. some clip on reflector lights with splitters, and your ready to go.

if your worried about heat from the cfls then go to home depot and get you some 9.5 watt cree leds. i know this is a off topic thing, but you don't have your pm's yet. look them up in the led section.

Those HO T5 will definitely be OK, but buy some 42W cfl's on the side because 42 W ones are the most efficient(lumens per watt).
If you buy those CFL bulbs also in different spectral outputs then changing those lights to flowering will definitely work as those CFL will give off different color light and your plants will have more even light to use!
