Will This Work?

Hey all, i've currently got a 9 day old seedling, and 2 seeds ready to be planted. My grow box currently has 4, 23w CFLs 5000k cool white and 2, 13w CFLs 2100k daylight. Will this be enough light for these 3 plants for a 4 week long veg period 18/5? Thanks Again fellow RIU'ers!

don't forget about lumens. for three plants you should have at least 24000 lumens (more the merrier). also, close to 100w per plant would be ideal.
so in conclusion you need a lot more light if you want the most out of your plants.

depending on the size of your grow area, you could either add more 23 watters, or get higher watters such as 42, 55, 65, etc.

As the plant grows add more lights are you deem fit. You really want all major budsites covered. Right now you are fine for light as the plant is still small.

thanks misterblack. Would you suggest i get 2 more 23w 5000k 1600 lumen bulbs or a 42w 4100k 3000 lumen bulb?

In my area I only have access to 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower so I only have experience with them. Bear in mind the smaller the bulbs the more of them you will need as the plant gets bigger. It can get to be a bit of a time consuming process adjusting a lot of bulbs when the plant is growing quickly. Having said that I use 23w, 45w and 65w bulbs myself. Generally speaking I use the 23w lights for side and under lighting and the bigger ones for the tops.

Thanks again, ill upgrade later in the week. Another question. I believe i fixed the curling/twisting leaf problem as the new growth seems to be healthy in my eyes. The First picture is when i noticed the twisting. Second is today (day10)

Do you think its growing normally again? I also have 2 more starting in a humidity dome in case this one doesn't workout

More would be better but they will get you through veg. Something wrong with your light description. Every country does not have the same bulbs but :?: 5000k is full spectrum, cool white or bright white is 3100 to 4100k, 2000 to 2700k is soft white, and a daylight bulb is 6500k.
