Will My Ladies Freeze?

i am planning on starting an operation pretty soon, but winter is just beginning, and it gets pretty cold around here especially in the night. would it be a good idea, to just leave a flourescant 25watt on constatnly during the veg stage? if so would this rack up the electricity bill in any serious way? and my last question, is about soil, would it be a good idea to grow with straight vermiculite, or vermiculite and perlite, also what sort of fertilizer should i use? i have some stuff called starter fertilizer, it is 20-27-5

It would be okay to leave the flouro on but I doubt this would provide adequate heat. I'm from England and we have really cold winters, so what I like to do is use a dry fan heater to heat the room during lights off. A fan heater also has the advantage of taking moisture out of the air which prevents mold and also makes your plants produce more resin. Cold winters are a big advantage to the indoor grower.

If you do get a fan heater buy one with a built in thermostat so that once the room reaches certain temp's it will turn itself on and off.
