Will a male marijuana plant affect a female marijuana plant?

Alternatively, you can wait till the male begins to produce pollen, and go out there and vigerously shake the plant till it releases all of its's pollen at once. Just make sure you do this halfway through flowering, cause if you wait too long the residual pollen will still cause your allergies to go crazy.
