Will a little bit of bleach in my water kill my plants?

I have an empty gallon jug bleach container and I used it to hold water for watering my plants,I only rinsed the jug once so it still smells a little bit like bleach.I just watered my plants with it without realizing it.Will this kill them?
Also does anyone know where I can buy some PH paper besides online?checked the pool store and they only have 7-8pH

Q1: maybe, but it sure isn't good. Spend a buck and get a gallon of water from the supermarket, more sources put their spring water through reverse osmosis. Q2: Try a pet store for the pH strips, or but a probe tester.

Bleach dissipates pretty quickly. I usually clean my res with bleach, then let it sit until it is completely dry before I refill it. If I have time, I will give it one more quick rinse, but usually dont.

I got PH the strips from Wallmart. And I concur that a little Bleach is okay, never over do it, well never over do anything for that matter.
