Sure I'll update that with the pics.. I really did'nt pay attention to NPK ratios until I did some reading and some math to see I was off a bit on my desired 1-3-2 in flower and 3-1-2 in veg. The foliage pro made it possible to dial in correct ratios with what i use, the gro is a bit weak in N to get it there.

My Chemdog came down couple days, trying to get some curing before the fourth, it is a holiday smoke. The sample nugs tell me it's a special keeper strain. Pics in bit too.

Just got moving around cleaning up the mess created by being medicated yesterday, then will update. Lol.

Here is my nute recipe now, the pics might have to wait as I lost my @!&)*&!@ Droid phone. Waiting for my iphone now, but was able to get a week old pic of sharksbreath clone that is on Foilage Pro... I am really liking the higher N concentration as the plants are more lush green.

Here is my revised nute recipe that gives me 3-1-2 in veg and 1-3-2 in flower. Plants seem be more in overdrive now then ever, growing like champs.

I used too, following some other posters and others it worked I didn't see any ill effects cept that the tops yellowed faster as they dry somewhat. I thought "what if" and kept it at the bottom of the net pot through the entire grow. No ill effects cept the roots now were all white.. I guess that a plus. So I stopped it and kept the water at net pot bottom. In flower in my 2.5 gallon buckets the plant will drink half the water in a day so it will be 2-3 inches below net pot on refilling, I have let the plant go 48 hours without refilling and it makes it with no ill effects except the plant is usually sitting in a 2.5+ EC solution where it should be at 1.8EC. Replacing water fills the water and lowers the EC as well, so this is how I know if I need more food for the plant. I start at 1.8EC for full bucket up to net pot, then as I fill I take a EC reading first if it is 1.7-1.9 I replace with more 1.8 solution in a gallon jug I keep. I have one 1.8EC gallon container of nutrient solution and one gallon of regular RO water. If it is higher then 1.8EC then it gets water only, and anywhere in between you have to guess it and measure. I mean sometimes I need a bit of the 1.8EC solution and mostly water like the EC is 1.6 now, I need the 1.8 but if I pour all 1.8 in the end EC will be above my range. So it takes some getting used to but it works for me I guess, maybe that will be my next process to tinker with. I like to do one at a time, and the drying/curing was my last one and I think I got that nailed.

Peace.

I am thinking this is why I get burnt tips on the plants as the plant drinks the EC goes up sometimes and it has a higher EC then I need or want, so I might go back to 3.5 gallon buckets as the plants even in 24 hours are sometimes sitting in high nutrient solution that *if* I can not get to them in 24 hours they are not in danger of bruning the @!& up and keep the EC more stable for better readings. I like the roots get air for periods of time so its a what is better for me in the end.
BBC I cannot tell you how helpful this post has been for my grow. I have essentially employed a similar method and now that all of my plants are in flower, I see exactly what you mean about how much the plant consumes. My La Musa is a greedy bitch. Her water level drops 5-6 inches consistently in 24 hour periods. I've kind of mentally noted where my plants seem to like the PPM (each one is different, but mostly they are in the same range) and have a benchmark figure. I keep a Gallon container of fully mixed Nute solution and 2 gallon containers of PH adjusted water. When the PPM is higher, I have topped with just water. If it is lower, I top with Nute solution plus water. When it stays roughly the same, I give it a blended mix in an effort to raise the water level but keep the PPM in the right place. It takes some Guesstimating but so far it seems to be working for me.

I just wanted to thank you. Much of this post went over my head a month ago, and now it all makes sense to me. I've also employed the practice of not changing out the water but just topping thanks to your suggestion (and the suggestion of others). La Musa is an Auto, so I haven't exactly employed your flush schedule (she seems to be on an accelerated schedule. I flushed her for 24 hrs after 2 weeks of flowering, will flush her again at the 4 week mark), but I definitely plan on flushing at weeks 3 and 5 for my 2 Amnesia Lemons and my 1 Madness. I frequently return to this thread just to see if I pick other gems that I missed on my first pass.

Thanks Brother!

Peace.

Wow.. thanks man. Glad it helped, it makes this thread all worth it man. +rep to you and I can't stress that every 2-3 week flush, my roots were getting a bit nasty last run with salt build-ups, and it seem to stall the harvest. Now I been making sure I note the roots when I check plants, I had gotten little lazy and just assumed they were good. They were for the most part, but not optimal.

Now a 24 flush with sledge hammer and back to feeding seems to keep that salts off the roots.

Ok I bit on Supernatural Gro Aqua.. and should be hear this week to start on one of my seedlings. I will post my findings and what or if its a contender to replace my DynaGro. Another poster here undercurrentdwc with phenomenal results in his undercurrent setup so I want to try the buckets!

I have also noticed a nutrient change with temps, here its been near 100 every day normal is 80s so my ambient temps were 85 in my veg room normal mid 70s. So the plants started to notice some browning on roots not bad but not up to my standards for sure.

Cut the nutes to half of my dosage and all looks better, then back up when temps decline.

Update has been awhile:

Here is my SCROG of Chemdog (30 days), both scrogs are going awesome. I definitely can see the advantages I expect to have 2x to 3x my yield with this method. I still need to work on optimally filling in screen etc. I do like it a lot though, more work but rewards are substantial.

Chemdog Scrog:

SageNSour Scrog (also filled nicely):

My tester Sweet Black Angel (hempy bucket no topping) looks like a nice strain.

sba_01.jpg

Holy Grail Kush ready to harvest very soon.. so yummy:

The Supernatural AquaGro should be in here soon, to test so I am excited about the new baby HGK to take from seed with that nutrient. Its just waiting on UPS/Mail since we don't have it locally. I will update that when it gets here.

Why not brew your own compost teas? make your own bennies. Can be made from things at any organic/gardening store.

im experimenting with this right now. any helpful info you can add
I did the heisenberg tea.. it worked and worked well. It is messy, stinky and time consuming as it expires and have to re-add or remake. I had similar results with just aquashield and voodoojuice/great white etc... so I use those with no mess, time or effort. I like things to be as simple as possible without sacrificing too much in plant growth and health.

Do your own tests, and you will probably see the same thing.

yeah im in australia and bringing in anything organic or with bacteria/microbes into the country is near impossible it never makes it through customs. the hydro stores in my area dont stock anything like that either im guessing for the same reason. the best i can get is zyme products.

the good news is i have sourced a few products recently and i have made my first batch of the tea and all seems to be going well.

just wondering though heisenberg says to never feed them in the res but i noticed you do buddah and your results look great. i was wondering do you think once i made the tea and added it to my res could i feed them in there and wouldnt they continue to breed and shouldnt i get similar results to yours?

Oh ya most definitely just remember keep temps in water to low 70s if you can, for optimal results.

I just installed my (2) OG vertical hoods tonight before the lights came on and WOW these things ROCK! Much better light pattern and brighter to the eye for sure. This thing has neoprene seals everywhere so no smell gets through before carbon!! Its BLACK! Best of all the light cooling technology DOES work, before my temps were 82ish and now they are steady at 78. Nice.. I can certainly see the advantage of vertical over horizontal to the eye anyway, I was always told you want your bulbs horizontal blah blah.. well another one down the tube of fallacious truths.

thanks buddha.

oh and that reflector looks like it could be the answer for me. i have been looking into the new 830w cmh lamp but it is only available in a vertical bulb.

That looks sick. you think it beats the standard 5x5 imprint of the 1000w?
They have a comparison on all the hoods with 1000w.. my 600w in this hood now beats some 1000w in those "Must have" hoods. I was floored.

A friend of mine who uses raptor hoods supposedly one of the best says these OG *he bought 16* crush his raptors he "had" lol.
