Why Universal Healthcare would be GOOD!

He doesn't literally mean guns, he means the use of force will compell you to comply. Sometimes your density amazes me.
And your lack of understanding sarcasm amazes me.

Government has a habit of creating more victimless crimes and issuing edicts that remove our liberty. This is the source of MANY "crimes".

I've heard areas that (illegally) restrict gun ownership have higher crime rates. Hmmph...Imagine that.

Concerning holding guns to people's heads...what will happen if a person
does not comply with any mandatory healthcare program? Will GOVERNMENT force be used? Will liberty we NOW possess be lost? Do you think mandatory healthcare is a right or a government edict?
Well that makes sense because without a government in place there would be nothing that is illegal, so no crimes.

If you don't have insurance already (which I take it you do not), and are able to afford it (because if you were not able to, they would offer you help getting it) you will have the 2.5% tax.

Fortunately the only taxes i pay are sales tax. Can't get around that one yet. At least not at the store. so i'll be happy to pay that 2.5 % tax since 2.5 % of nuttin ain't nuttin. :)

God this country is starting to go down the toilet fast with the socialists in charge.

Following any government edict all the way out...they WILL use guns eventually.
They won't use guns in the beginning, they'll huff and they'll puff, nasty letters, court dates etc. But if you peacefully refuse to go along with them, ultimately they will use guns to enforce victimless crimes. Making something legal doesn't make it right or make me feel compelled to blindly follow it.

How some people can understand that THEY should own their own bodies regarding pot prohibition and then whine for a mandatory healthcare program for EVERYBODY, even those who say no thank you, seems inconsistent to me.

Remember folks, this is just the beginning, if it gets passed it will be changed little by little until the system owns your ass from cradle to grave.

You confuse crime and legality. Wasn't slavery a crime, yet legal? Isn't it a crime to incarcerate people that harm nobody, say like pot smokers?

No I will not pay a 2.5% tax. What will government do if I refuse to?

With nothing there to say your doing something wrong, if it doesn't feel wrong to you, doesn't that end up with you never thinking that you are committing a wrong.

If I had owned a slave with my beliefs I would feel that I was doing something wrong, even if it was legal, but that does not mean that everyone felt the same way. Same with weed, I rather enjoy it even though it is illegal, while others may not feel the same way.

I know right from wrong and try to live my life consistent with that. Laws that create victimless crimes are wrong...I ignore them if I'm inclined to. As long as I harm nobody and do not take what does not belong to me, I do not need government to define my morality.

Government has approved war, slavery, genocide and theft, mass internment of it's citizens and countless other evil things. Let's not confuse legality with morality.

I presently have insurance...your point?

That you have nothing to worry about, nothing changes for you. Your plan is grandfathered in.

And lets say you change jobs. Under the system today you would not have the same insurance either (unless you are paying far more money out of pocket for your own plan) if you moved jobs. So you would not have choice of what the new company has, so you would not be able to make a choice on what it is. Now you can still make the choice to not carry any, but lets face it if you understand the need for it now you would understand that some insurance is better than none.

Now if you go to a company that doesn't have insurance then you would not have it under most circumstances. This is an affordable way for people and companies to have health coverage. And a very good thing to do.

People like you and I already are paying for the procedures that the uninsured are getting, either through taxes or higher insurance premiums. This is just a way to help them get coverage for regular doctor visits and stop relying on more expensive hospitals and free clinics.

Universal health care would be great, but only if the government had NOTHING to do with it. I'm not opposed to everyone having insurance or being able to see a doctor when in need, I'm just totally opposed to the inept bureaucrats running our lives and make life decisions for us.

You know years ago I had a roommate and he tore his achilles tendon up something bad, couldn't walk for 6 months and had a cast for the whole 6 months. When he went to the government to ask for help for living expenses as he had spent all his savings they asked him how much money I MADE. Well he told them and they said they couldn't help him with the rent because I MADE TOO MUCH. WTF does your roommates income have to do with yourself? In other words the state basically said that I had to support him because I made enough money for the both of us. I kicked his ass out and told him to go back to the welfare office and tell them that he got evicted because he hadn't paid his rent in 5 months. They still wouldn't help unless he has been on the street for 6 months. so basically he had to spend the whole winter with no home before receiving any aid. He got jack shit from them and jack shit from me and ended up moving to another city where he found work that he could do.
