Why So Many Noobs in this Section ?

I've been researching seeds,strains and banks here, and I can't help but notice how many noobs or clowns with like under 10 posts who are posting in this section.....

They don't post anywhere else but here....

Anyway we can clean this up ? Maybe have a certain number of posts under your belt and time here ( 100 posts / 4months) before being allowed to post here, and give advice.....heck it takes a few months for a grow....let them do a grow journal the start recommending.....

This would give this section much better info....I'm tired of sifting through all the clowns with like 2 or 4 posts who are recommending specific seed banks....

How about letting them get some rep before posting here...isn't that what rep is really all about ? And please bring back the likes...I'm getting repped for things I should be getting liked for.....the whole forum is gonna get screwed up without the likes.

we can't really stop anyone from posting space cowboy, so long as they're not breaking the tos in doing so..

as far as people with one or two posts recommending a seeed bank or w/e, do what everyone else does, and realize they only have 2 or 3 posts and are more then likely paid schills for w/e seeed banks they're spamming for.. the thing is most of them spam in such a way it's not really considered spam and therefore gets left up, but it only takes half a second to see through these people and realize what they're up to..

as for the likes, i have heard we are working on a new forum, one that's not v-bulletin based i'd imagine, and once they get it up and running, things like the likes will, should be back up and running..
i haven't a clue as to when this is all going to be finished and working, soon is all i keep hearing..

The usual "What strain is best to grow in my Mum's spare bedroom....?"
and "Can I get 4 oz off 2 plants....?" type stuff.

I've just finished my first grow (it's drying now)
my 2nd grow (cuttings taken from 1st) is on Day 11 of flower
and my FIRST EVER SEEDS are on the way....
So I am, undoubtedly, a 'newb'.
But, with some of these guys, whether they've never grown a single plant or they've grown for years,
the facts seems to point at some kind of mental retardation.
Dropped on the head as a baby.....
Accidentally ingested mercury as a toddler....
A 17 year routine of thrice daily glue sniffing....
I don't know WHAT happened
but I'm fairly certain that something did.

But the internet has ALWAYS had a special attraction to the nutcases and crackpots.

I have been growing for over 10 years. I usually lurk in the seed thread as I am more interested in stains, phenos and the like. I have a handful of posts, does this make me a noob or newbie? I get the 'can I grow with a halogen light' and sh*t, but because my post count isn't 2000 doesn't mean I haven't got a clue. besides other folks have thousands of posts and only a few grows under their belt. do you rate hazey high cause his post count is up? Sit back, smoke a bowl and chill.

no, i completely agree with you..

i think what the op is talking about is there have been a few recent threads about a certain seeed bank where the starter of the thread(s) were all new members with one or two posts each is all.. these types of threads are usually started by someone who is "in" with the seed bank, and the fact that the only posts they have are saying how good such and such place is, they're usually very easy to spot..

i get it racer. i have been more active on other forums and i have read plenty of trash on this site and many others, you just have deal sift through it. this site is way better than a few of the other forums that i used to be more active in and i actually find that people are generally sincere and more willing to help here. i just don't rate post count too high is all i am saying. cheers!
