Why not bake the oil?

In the past I've used a double boiler to infuse oil/butter with bud, but the time always fluctuates and I wonder whether I'm getting it hot enough to fully extract the thc/cbds.

The last time I made it I threw it in a glass dish with a lid then baked it at 280 for 40 mins and it came out perfect imo and better than the stuff I made the day before with the double boiler.

I do that when I make small batches of oil.. I use my outside toaster oven to prebaked the mmj then add that to about 1cup oil then cover it and bake it like this outside at 250 for 1 hour.. I cant tell the diff
