Why are my buds darker than the ones from collective?

When I go to the collective I examine their buds and sometimes I buy a little bit of interesting strains. When I look at my buds they seem much darker in color. Greenish/brown. The "professional" buds look more tanish/light green. I'm not sure if you can tell by this pic.
Maybe it's because they trim them more and also break them up a bit.

As mentioned, strain, dry/cure and trim will all effect the color. Even at the collective I see many hues of bud. The purple strains like Grape Ape, Purple Cadillac and Ken's GDP, for example, all seem to have darker buds. In my opinion, closer trimming (buzz cut) will also give you a better idea of the bud's color.

FWIW, your bud looks just fine to me :weed:

The final color of the product can be durastically changed by curing habits.. the longer damper your cure is, the tanner the buds get.. A quicker cure will leave you with greener buds in the end
The better it's Dryed and cured the better the end product.......IMO...drying it properly u only need a 2week curing for pure dank....

Genetics, curing time, and growing environment can all effect the color of your buds. That's a beautiful looking bud you got there if you ask me!

I agree and have been happier with my light green quicker cures just because of time and not noticing a negative difference plus looks nicer, i don't mind if i leave a little more chlorophyll inside i can't tell the difference
