I agree with you bram. From what I've read on this forum is that big leaves are important to the plant processes. I also stick to the 50% rule (i think) that I've read in the forums here, i.e. only cut off the leaf if it is more than 50% damaged/jacked-up.

  • My plant is 11 days old. I germinated and started a Green House Ladyburn 1974 seed in a peat pellet. Transplanted it to pre-soaked rockwool and into a bubbler system after a week. It looked healthy going in and now the tip of the leaves are turning yellow, almost brown. The actual leaves are a bit hard as well. It's in plain water(no nutes yet) with 2 100watt cfls a couple inches above. Today I've dropped the temp from 85 to 75 and the put the water level a 1/2 inch above the bottom of the pot. What could it be?? Please help. Don't want her to die. Should I add nutes?

Lol..yeh.. I just did a whole lot of research to where I know exactly wat to do or wat I need for my plants... but there's never enough to learn wen it comes to tis.. I think I should go wit 50 30 gallon pots under 6 hoodlights.. top it often so it could get really bushy... do it think its a gud idea?

Granted 6K is a lot of light, but I think you are still trying to put too many plants under there. If you look at some of subcool's grows he has no more than about 15-20 plants in his bloom room with similar lighting.

If I was lucky enough to have that much room/light, I would veg to about hip height and flower in approx 10-15 gallon smart pots. I wouldn't cram my plants, and I would invest in light mover(s) to increase yield on lower branches.

Seems like you are trying to go too large for a first grow, but good luck to you.

ok i have a question:
Can you veg 18/6 from seedling for a couple weeks, then change to 24 hours light a day? Then go into flower another couple weeks later? Could there be any negative effects?
Thanks

My daughter ripped my plants out roots and all. I replanted them and they grew fine after a few days. The plants are very forgiving. Hope this helps at all.
