White Widow - Harvest Time?

Hi all,

Been growing my white widow in my Cool Cab under a 400w light and its looking ready.

It's been 9 weeks since flowering began. Usually I harvest to early (I have no patience) - but this time I'm trying to get it right.

What's everyone think? Harvest now or give it more time?

Sorry, doesn't look ready to me.
Those buds look tiny for a 400w.
Unless you give them more time
and they fatten up.
The main looks pretty tall and stretched,
doesn't look like the lower buds are getting as much light as they could of with some lst on the main.
Could be the pics look a bit deceiving.

get a microscope or a strong magnifying glass and look at the trichs. you want a 50/50 mixture of cloudy and amber color. if they are clear they are premature. regardless if they arent ready they are really close

probo24 - all my buds have been like that. It must be a factor of the cool cab. Do you think temperature could be a factor?

My temps at the canopy run 80-84f
with a 250w hps, no more than 6-8"
from top of the canopy and my plants
grow fine.
I lst to keep the buds all the same height
and average between 2-4oz/plant
with a very short veg time (3-4wk veg)
Since I use a smaller hps, i only flower 2
plants at a time to keep the light as close as possible for max weight.

Hm... my temps run 80-90. The light is so close to the top buds it burnt a couple fan leaves. It seems like it should be getting enough light.

Looks like you should start flushing for a week and then harvest.

You grow doesn't look as uniform as it should.
I added a chart that explains the decay of light from the HPS over distance.

When you get the canopy at an even distance from the light you can get all the parts get the maximum light.

Wanted to quote this because nobody else mentioned a flush...

Flushing is gooood

Id say you have another couple weeks not days.
I agree you can clearly see new growth and the last two weeks are the best as it swells like crazy giving all it has, nuggs are small but they look great. I would wait until you stop seeing the new white hairs which are putting on more mass now. All will stop and start to pull back. I think another week at the least before it stops swelling. Also running temps above 80 is not going to kill your plants but they wont grow either, stunted looking to me. You may need stronger exhaust fan to pull the air out of the tent faster thus making it cooler. Ideal temps are 70-75 you know if feels hot as shit when you sit in 80 degree weather and so does the plant. Cool it down and show it more love

I could not have said it better, I agree also give it some time the last weeks are always worth the wait. Kooler plants make for happy plants happy plants give abundant yields. Haze
