Hi guys,

I'm totally new here. I have some questions about autoflowering seeds. I just started to grow 1 white widow autoflowering seed, just for fun :) Now, the plant has been growing for 8 weeks and looks like this. Its approximately 20 cm high, and is producing some buds with nice trichomes. However, I'm afraid that the yield will be very low. I use Compo sana universal ground and add canna growth liquid, as recommended by the seller. (4 weeks right now). I use rain water with pH 6.8. Every 3-4 days, I feed the plant. Is this a normal looking plant (I suppose not)? What am I doing wrong. Thanks for helping!

Wow! She does look a little small for 2 months... depending on what kind of light source your using the plant might not be drying up fast enough? this could cause a slower growth as autos tend to like to dry up a little between waterings. It doesn't look to me like you have any nutrient burn but as far as autos go, they are usually sensitive to nutrients. A good rule of thumb is start 1/4 dose and work your way up. Most people I have talked to on here never exceed 1/2 nutrient dosing. Less is more. I am new to the indoor growing scene, but I have made this a staple with the autos I'm growing. It sure has helped me. I hope this helps you out as well... Happy growing!!!

Hi peepz, sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the information. I do not have the ability right now to use specific growth lamps. I use a light with 3x18W:

I know, it's absolutely not suited but at this moment, it's better than nothing ;)

Right now the flowers are quite brownish, while trichomes seems to be quite clear. The plant is now 9 weeks old. Harvest or not? :)

no dont harvest wait longer the currently white pistils will turn orange brown, and a third set will come out after these mature then look at your trichs to harvest.
Also IME dinafem's WWA likes very light nutes. But the limiting agent here is your light, more light more plant more bud, get a grow light when you can. For right now are you able to mount those bulbs separately to surround the plant instead of having them all above it?

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the explanation. I will try to set-up the lights differently. But anyway, better lamps are really necessary ;)

yes not just lamps/ bulbs if you want solid(IMO, I have seen kickass cfl grows on here) results you need some kind specific grow light I would recommend LED but HPS is always an option.

LED is too expensive, get an HPS kit off of ebay, theyre cheap cheap.
The plant u have is very strange looking. Must be a genetic mutant of some sort, also ya the light, or lack of light is your main issue. Im growing a WW auto rite now and it is very small as well for being under my 600W. It was stunted from overwatering too, i forgot to add perlite to my mix and the soil stays soaked for a long time.
Aside from lack of light, overwatering is the main problem with plants when they are small.

until your electric bill gets there every month, leds last longer use less power and put off less heat towards the canopy, yes they also cost a lot more then HPS initially, cheaper ones come out of china but you do get what you pay for. OP and everybody get the lighting system that works best for your situation
