So i have a seedling i have been growing for like a month month and a half and like 3 weeks ago white hairs started coming out of the pistils. why so soon? normally that doesnt happen untill like 2 weeks into flowring, right? and now where the new growth is comeing out there like 8 white hairs comeing out of it already. not an autoflowering strain either. mp5k from dr. chronic

That's not typical unless it's an autoflowering strain. Did you switch the light schedule at all? What is their light schedule? Do you have any pictures?

One of my plants did that as well, im not to sure why it did it but I cant say I was upset about the early sexing being it was from a seed.

not quite, this one got tall quick and the other ones didnt. the mp5k is supposed to stay short, my two that are 4 weeks into flower are like just a little bit past my knee. you think they could of fucked up and put a different strain on accident in the bag

Your in what's called pre-flowering stage...it's part of the normal cycle of the plants life...in fact that's the signal that's sh'es ready to start her flowering cycle...most plants start to show sex at 6-8 weeks of age. I always let ALL my plants preflower before flowering...that way she's ready and will produce you finer bud then if you forced her to flower. My last strain of god bud X white rhino sexed at 5 weeks old.

Here is a plants life cycle.

1. germenation
2. seedling (usually last 2-4 weeks)
3. vegetative stage (as long as you want)
4. preflowering (between week 5-9 of growth)
5. flowering (7-15 weeks)
6. harvest

Ok red neck. Read up again...he said about a month to a month and a half, i'm guessing his plant is around week 7 maybe week 8, doesn't sound like he's too sure, reguardless the plant will show as early as week 4, so don't go trying to be too smart your self there...cuz! My last grow of god bud X white rhino all sexed at week 5.

I tried to be nice to you despite you acting like a real know-it-all jackass, but you're still acting the part, so I'm just going to lay it out. A month to a month and a half would be 4-6 weeks, minus 3 is 1-3 weeks. You can act superior all you like but no matter how much you go acting it won't change the math, so just be nice about it and don't act a dick. It makes well-meaning beginners feel intimidated and is just generally bad policy.
:bigjoint:puff your shit n stop stressin dudes, it's all game and everybody got a piece

I am relaxed. He's not sure how old his plant is, so I ruff estimated for him, given the fact of when plants show sex. OK?

What everone FAILS to realize is that HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW OLD HIS PLANT IS, he is only guesstamating the length of time it's been growing.

Ever think that he isn't really paying close attention to it, and maybe that his "3 weeks" ago was actually more like 1.5-2 weeks? And that maybe his month and a half is more like 2 months? I was considering the fact of that...and the fact that he said he does not know exactly the age of the plant. Take those factors in and you get where I was going.

Yes it is not uncommon for plants to show pistals early on in life...like I said some strains show as early as 4 weeks.

If his plant WAS only 1-3 weeks old and he was seeing hairs...it's just new side shoot growth, or the stipuli's and not real pistals.

And another thing...i'm the only person on this thread that offered him any advice or help AT ALL...while the rest of you stood there twiddling your thumbs and critisizing me instead.
