They are neither dirt or soil. And coco adds a flavor to the weed I don't like. Needs rinsing often. But I have the joy of growing in a basically legal state. Didn't like growing clandestine.

I read in the grow bible that secondary nutrients need to be added every other week (CaMgS) and primary nutes (NPK) every 5-7 days .. always feeding at 1/4 nutes to decrease chances of nute burn. Do All of you feed at 1/4 strength as well?
Anyways this was not my main question. I also read that the soil has got to be equal in NPK=10.10.10.. My bag of pro-mix doesn't tell the count of NPK... For my primary nutes I use Nutri+ A 5-0-2 / B 1-5-8 but I have no CaMgS nutes for the moment...
SO the big question is ; which mix of primary, secondary nutes & soil do you use to facilitate the feeding and give the proper amount of NPK,CaMgS our beloved need?????
Thanks !!!!!
Roots Organic soil, current flowering feeding schedule: All Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect products (love this stuff).....PH Perfect Bloom. Voo Doo Juice, Piranha, Factor X, Bud Ignitor, Big Bud, Rhino Cell, Bud Candy. All according to the feeding schedule by AN. http://www.advancednutrients.com/

I like MiracleGro's Potting Mix. It contains enough passive nutrients to feed a plant without other nutes for 3 months. Means the plant has access to essential nutes without having to measure or mix. I do use MiracleGro blue crystals for vegging and Liquid Bloom nute for flowering. Point of the MG PM is that you don't have to worry about under-feeding. I only use 1/4 strength nutes when new seedlings are new to maybe 2 weeks vegging. As I use different nutes when going from vegging to flowering I make a point of flushing the plants when they move rooms.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Dont feed anything else and just use water. Watch and cry as your plant dies from a lack of relationship between your roots and your, and i quote, "living shit".
I feed chemicals daily I don't ph my water either and there is living shit everywhere Infact my plants r booming go try sell your organic shit else where man I wish my chems would kill all the crap in my soil would stop gnats fck I hate gnats

your plants are doing fine because you feed chem nutes daily. How hard is that to understand. If you cant feed plain water the whole grow its not tlo. Period.

but then what really is the difference from a fully organic grow and feeding it synthetic nutes? Cant re-use the soil? Tastes better? Different high? Less toxins?

Hi!

I am using Miracle Grow all purpose potting soil (heresy I know, but I'm on a budget) I am composting ground egg shells, used coffee grounds, and potash. Will this compost I am making satisfy my baby girls needs in veg and flower or must I supplement this with store bought nutrients?

little to no salt buildup, better taste, i wont say higher potency because variables come into play. The plant takes nutes when it needs it, unlike chem nutes when its being force fed everyday. Plus you can recycle the soil. No buying nutrients. The benefits go on and on.

BTW: You don't have to go all organic. There are hybrid fertilizers (Grow More Sea Grow) containing organic components along with synthetic. You can also supplement synthetic products with organic components (kelp, fish emulsion, etc.).

Too often this topic is dominated by purists on either side. There are many who don't have the luxury (nor interest) in composting a soil for months, brewing teas, etc. But, would derive benefit from improving their soil biology with some organics (compared to none).

Using the hybrid approach, I've noticed a significant taste difference compared to pure synthetic. I'm not sure what the difference would be between it and pure organic. For the time involved (compared to pure organic), it's definitely worth it.

Its not that im a purist as I have grown with many methods .....

but its knowing the difference
between pseudo organics and

the living symbiotic relationship of natures way of growing between plant and micro life
(with a little help from us. Making compost ect.)

2 totally different methods in my opinion

and neither are Wrong :)

I ve smoke some fully organic m39 and I was blown away.. Normally the m39 we get over here is very shitty. hydroponics I guess.
