Which Soil and Nutrient combination do you use?

youre either growing organic or not, there is no grey area. feeding cemical nutes in an organic living medium will kill all of your benefitial bacteria. defeating the purpose of putting them in there
Just one drop of synthetic nutrients will kill all the beneficial bacteria. That's hard to believe.

im growing in supersoil, have been for 3 years. And yes look it up, there are plenty of threads covering the subject if you dont want to take my word for it. Tske a living soil water it with ANY synthetic nutrient. Then try and grow a plant start to finish in it using nothing but water. Im not trying to sound like a dick, its just ive made that mistake before. Easily counteracted with a good flush and a topdress of more supersoil.

Thanks. I've read a lot, but haven't seen anything saying a mere drop of synthetic nutrients would kill all the microbes. It remains hard to believe.

a drop of it no. But all i used was 5 ml of botanicare hydroplex and accidentally fed it to my supersoil plant and within a week it began to turn the leaves bleach yellow like when flushing untill i topdressed and that prevented the yellowing from spreading. 1 drop wont do enough to even notice, but just 1 5ml feeding did it for me.

Now we're getting somewhere. I use a combination of synthetic and organic. I taste the difference like organic growers report. And, I haven't had the problems you described. Looking under the microscope, I see bacteria.

So, it does seem there is a hybrid. Perhaps not as alive as pure organic. But, not as dead as pure synthetic.

Tlo =0 salts

not like using botanicares "organic" lines with bennies

in TLO its all about the micro beasties

agreed, and ive used pure blend pro supposedly "organic" until i transplanted and good god the salt buildup was as far from organic as it gets. Which is why i never trust "organic nutes". IMO if you have a good living organic soil, you need nothing other than drinking water and the occasional compost tea CAM00243.jpg CAM00243.jpg

i have had insane results using a drain to waste 4x4 table 50 plants in 1 gal bags of coco, 1k watt hps 5x5 tent and co2 sog style. Got something like a pound and 12 oz. Coco is my second favorite next to supersoil

Dyna Gro Foliage Pro, Dyna Gro Protekt, Botanicare CalMag Plus, General Hydroponics Flora (3 part). My substrate is Advanced Sunshine Mix #4 (it's coco with Myco already added, no pretreating required).

I think this was 2 days ago. Hang on I'll go get one this morning (after I put the light up 4 more inches 600 Metal Halide just flipped to flower 11/14).

absolutely! it is one of the best bases to start with just add some perlite
Sweet ive already done coco for years and loved it my last were with botanicares "organic" line
and I really liked it but since I was growing in a crawlspace it sucked hauling dirt lmao

I used to cut my coco about 70/30 coco per

so I went hydro and havent looked back

but I still got a few blocks of it just incase:)

but when I get more time or room which is coming I want to have some PURE LIVING ORGANICS

as you know
I want to do nothing but water and ocasional top dressings and teas but only if its good for the microlife:)
