Which Soil and Nutrient combination do you use?

I read in the grow bible that secondary nutrients need to be added every other week (CaMgS) and primary nutes (NPK) every 5-7 days .. always feeding at 1/4 nutes to decrease chances of nute burn. Do All of you feed at 1/4 strength as well?
Anyways this was not my main question. I also read that the soil has got to be equal in NPK=10.10.10.. My bag of pro-mix doesn't tell the count of NPK... For my primary nutes I use Nutri+ A 5-0-2 / B 1-5-8 but I have no CaMgS nutes for the moment...
SO the big question is ; which mix of primary, secondary nutes & soil do you use to facilitate the feeding and give the proper amount of NPK,CaMgS our beloved need?????
Thanks !!!!!

I might feed the very first feed at 1/4 strength then up it to what the plant can take. As far as soil, most people will add to it to match their requirements. With a little searching on here you can find what other people add to pro-mix to get good results with it. Pro-mix will also work fine as is, you just have to feed a little more often, which isn't all that bad for a noob. Good luck

Pro-Mix doesn't have any significant NPK. Maybe enough nutes for the first week (which is partly stored nutes in the seed's embyo).

I use Pro-Mix HP with 20% perlite added. I have also added 20% potting mix to try and promote a more biologically active medium.

For nutes, I liked GH Flora 3-part using the so-called "useless" schedule. I documented the NPK ratios of that schedule here, where there is also a link to the schedule.

I'm sure whoever wrote the "bible" knows more than I do. But, I don't think it needs to be that complicated, adding primary nutes one feeding, secondary another. I've switched to Grow More Sea Grow which costs about $1 per plant, per grow. It contains organic ingredients which give the smoke a richer/deeper taste (think of the "fifth taste" in culinary arts: umami.). Just 1/2 tsp every watering. I don't notice any difference between this and my use of 3-part.

The only difference may be that 3-part is more immediately acting. For example, I got burnt tips immediate when I touched the max ppms the plants could handle. With Sea Grow, I get slow accumulation of salts which are harder to detect.

IMO, if you're going to be a soil farmer, try to include organic components to promote biologic activity, and compensate for the suppressing effects of synthetic nutrients. You don't have to go 100% organic. But, keeping the soil biology in mid can be beneficial. Read Teaming With Microbes. (<<link, that's images of pages. Soil is a premium normal potting mix .mixed 50/50 perlite soil
I use a dig ballast mh/hps 400w mh for growth hps for flower at about this size I feed 1/2 strength image.jpg
Then when they get to this size I use full str I just go 5 ml per litre in a res with a airater

After this size full strength grow entill 1 week into flower then onto flower nuts
I let pots full dry for 3 days then straight full str flower nuts this them now about 2 half weeks into flower just started today 30 litres water 100ml flower nutes and also added canna pk 45ml also into res I'll feed this for 1 week then back to normal nutesimage.jpgimage.jpg

coco and perlite has got that 0-0-0 npk right ? So shes getting equal npk if you feel her 1.1.1 npk nutes? AMIRITE?
Yes coco and perlite can be thought of as a "hydro Medium"
You add whatever You want to it

or you can use it as a base in organics in my opinion

I use all Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect products (love this stuff).....For flowering.....PH Perfect Bloom. Voo Doo Juice, Piranha, Factor X, Bud Ignitor, Big Bud, Rhino Cell, Bud Candy. For vegging just Ph Perfect Grow and B-52.... All according to the feeding schedule by AN. Also use Roots Organic soil.

youre either growing organic or not, there is no grey area. feeding cemical nutes in an organic living medium will kill all of your benefitial bacteria. defeating the purpose of putting them in there
