which kind of coconut oil should I use?

Hello I make and sell cannabis infused coconut oil, I've been buying it at walmart but it gets kinda of expensive at $8 for 16 oz's. So I found some on Amazon that I will be ordering in bulk. My question is do I want the oil or paste? I have been using the oil but I am wondering would the paste be better? Thank you plus rep for any advice.

it depends on what the final product will be...for example, if you are going to make hash capsules with it, you want the solid coconut oil. The liquid kind will start to dissolve your caps. I use the liquid kind for cooking at the stove just as I would olive oil

But will the solid kind be ok for cooking? If not, I am down to make capsules. This what I bought tonight.1415414868111.jpg

Well I made it last night turned out really good, I kinda like the thicker stuff now. This stuff even has a slight coconut taste, it complemented the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies very nicely.

Yeah, that trader joes brand is the shit. I like that stuff too.

If coconut oil makes you want to puke and then die, what other oil would you use instead?

Don't mean to threadjack, just the best place I could find to ask the question. Coconut and vanilla trigger an insta-puke for me, I can't even be around the stuff.

Just always find coconut oil as being recommended. Something else has to work just as well, right?

how about butter, grape seed or canola oil?

or make an extraction with everclear and add the hemp oil to anything.

Note on Coconut Oil; It has a low heat temp so don't burn it.

As long as it isn't coconut. Has anyone tried grape seed oil, that is amazing to fry and slightly less amazing to grill with. But wonder if it is just as effective.

Everybody seems to use coconut oil.

I can't even look at it on the shelf. Serious allergy lol

It depends on what you want to make with it really. A vinaigrette? boxed brownie mix? Olive, grapeseed, vegetable, or a similar oil works great. Capsules? you want something that will be solid at room temp (75f or lower). Abe Supercro had the best answer I think, with making an alcohol extraction. That can be added to damn near anything without the need for an oil.
