which airstone do you like best?

Setting up a DWC in 5 gal buckets and am having trouble deciding on which air stones to use.

Walmart blue 1" stones? Oxystones look like a better version of these? What kind do you all prefer? I will be using quite a few containers so no $20 diffusers.

Wal-mart air stones work great,I use them all the time in a 3 gallon buckets.Iam on shoe string budget so cheap walmart comes in handy.

you're going to want at least 2 of those in each bucket. Not sure if these will break your budget, but they work great, LOTS of bubbles.

4" round airstone

oh i like the snake like flexible airstones also. you can shape it like your resivoir to make bubbles even.

I have six inch airstones in my 3 gallon buckets. One broke in half, I rigged it into two just-under three inches airstones for my four gallon buckets. The more fine bubbles you have the better but just a couple of one inch airstones should suffice for 5 gallon buckets.

Looks like the round ones might be the way to go, I'm finding quite a few good reviews of them.

As with any airstone, make sure it resists clogging!

anyone know if the micropore airstones are worth the extra scratch?

4" Disc Airstones is the way to go!

The micro pore diffusers are worth the money and the best on the market.
One small one is enough for a 5gallon bucket.
They also produce the smallest bubbles that are very optimal for DWC.
