Where is the caregivers?

Let me tell ya I'm kinda sick of all these so called patients looking for free because of their 12 plants. Makes me sick. Are you helping with equipment and electrical but want free.
This is free advice. Buy everything roughly 30k worth and grow your own. Because everyone can do it. So they say. You get what you pay for....... Old wives tale but true. That's why Craigslist is full of people selling equipment. Because everyone can grow top shelf meds.

There are still caregivers that want patients and advertise on this site occasionally. Things are different these days, though. Caregivers aren't giving it away for 12 plants anymore. It's a testament to how far things have come in MI. It's not good or bad, just evolving.

It's funny I have had patients want stuff for free but turn around and have no problem going into an illegal dispensery and paying out the ass.

I had a pt get pissed off at me for not giving away for free when my donation rate it extremely low. They go find another cg that promises the world only to find out a few months in there new cg can't grow for shit and call me up begging to rebuild the bridge they already burned.

I had one like that, the guy didn't even have anything really wrong with him, sore neck from roughhousing as a child. He spent about $1500 at a dispensary but wouldn't throw me a dime towards the grow. He said I should be making $90,000 a year because he did the math on it. So we got into an argument over it, even after I gave him a oil pipe, hash plus bud. He had the balls to say I should get another job so I could afford to take on a patient. That guy makes $25, an hour, has unemployment 4 months of the year, works for cash under the table, his ol lady gets wic and food stamps. They buy ten thousand dollars worth of furniture, a $5000 3d widescreen and paid off their vehicle all in the year I was his caregiver. All I wanted was a $100 donation a month in exchange for a ounce to offset the power bill. Never again.

That shit is funny. I haven't had that happen yet but had several try and write checks and one guy offered me a Wal-Mart gift card lol. I don't think the electric company or grow store will take a Wal-Mart gift card lmfao.

One guy moved to Minn and he calls me every so often to try and sweet talk me into mailing him meds....even offering me outrageous money. Shit is insulting people think I'm that fucking retarted.

To add my two pennies: the assumption that with your 12 plants your caregiver is going to make X $ off "the rest" of the pot from your 12 plants lest the oz or whatever you acquire free monthly. The patient end of this agreement is that you can legally be protected to grow the plants. BUT and this is the kicker right here: if the patient has their meds then the caregiver, to make this recuperating cash, has to sell the meds outside of the registry negating the protection the patient was offering. So now the actual situation is for some legal protection "having a legal grow room " but no legal way to sell the overages thru the registry. Essentially what I'm saying is that a patient in this scenario is fully legally protected and gets X amount of meds free each month while the caregiver is still expected to break the law to keep the lights on and plants producing. The caregiver is expected to take all the legal risk still, so what is the benefit? A good grower could easily setup with 25 gallon pots organic or big dwc set up and pull x grams per watt from the 12 they are allowed. They don't need other patients to do this. The sale of the overages is as illegal from patient to patient as is caregiver to patient outside of the registry. I know about section 8 medical need shit and the difference between this and the registry system in sec. 4.

To be more helpful here is what I, as a potential caregiver would like to hear: I can offer you a trade for meds, do you need any grow supplies? I would take rso made from trim or something like that. I'm willing to learn if you would teach me how you grow, I am able to ... I can ( trade or area of expertise like hvac electrical etc.) I know how to work a broom and am willing to help. There is more but sometimes an offer to help is all you need to melt the ice o our evil caregiving hearts. Or hey, I can do th dirty work and sell the overages illegally ( like I assume you do with my other 11.5 plants) to my friends for you to pay for the grow. That last one would actually stop my heart. Seems to me no patients think like this, it's very much keep me legal and safe and you....you know your rich cuz u got my 12 plants get bent!

I know many amazing caregivers and none give anything away. They all require at least $100/oz donation....

I always donate oil made from trim. Always. JC3 gave my uncle oil. Just show me your diagnosis and here is your rso. This I will pay forward forever. But it's far better to give 10ml oil a month and sell to stay growing than to give one full grow away and pack it cuz your power is shut of from the nsf check u sent.

Nicky worded! I always say the most medicinal value of the plant comes from edibles or extracts. So anything other than actual buds is free. As much as I can make I give it away.

I could not imagine funding a 90 day/gram RSO regime through a dispensary, as 3+ zips of oil would bankrupt most patients I know.

For real tho the way this law is set up TandC nailed it with his big passage about the risk. The way the law is set up I'm not allowed to do anything with overages but provide them to the patient they are for.. So if I give them an ounce a month free and those patients generally don't buy much.. What do I do with the overages? You can grey are funnel all of your overages to one or 2 pAtients if for example you have a few patients that disproportionately want to buy and smoke many much medicines... But I doubt anyone is that lucky.. So here we are..

For real I got my card only a few months after this boAt left its mooring. 5 years + and I've just now gotten settled in with genetics and ways to grow and equipment. Sure ive grown lots of average Schwag that you see floating around for 150-200 a zip but anyone can really do that. Bag seed + water + light = Schwag. Top shelf primo that's worth more then market price requires a much longer dance... Not only do you have to be lucky enough to find genetics (seeds or clones take their own brand of luck) you need to spend time with those genetics to bring out the best in it. It's fine if you just want Schwag.. Dump NPK on em and you get buds in 8 weeks... Buuuuuut if you want the goods it's a much more nuanced dance that requires a perfect environment and nutrient regime based on genetics.. That's no ez nut to crack..
