Where in the US is it legal to grow?

Ive heard stories about legal areas in the US to grow marijuana. When i heard this i thought of the system that Canada has(its legal to grow it as long as you have a medical marijuana slip). So is this true? Is it legal to grow in certain places in the US?

I know in Cali you can get a medical card. Other states I think have the same thing. I don't have one, but you can get one for sure in California.

Theres numerous websites on how to get one. Idk if you use myspace or not but theres a guy called Bong Rip(actual legal name) and he wrote an artical on how to get a medical maijuana slip. You can get it for just about anything(headaches, stomach problems, stress etc)

unfortunately those state laws don't trump federal laws which prohibit the production of marijuana. so i guess there is always a chance that the dea could show up at your door

Actually, if you have a medical card I'm pretty sure it's all legit.

You can find out pretty much anything about each of the 50 state's laws. Alaska is pretty tolerant.

Yeah. In Alaska it's legal to have an oz. in your home.

There are twelve states I believe. I know of Cal, Oregon, New Mexico, Colorado,Alaska, as for cultivating I'm not sure. The fed gov't can override state gov't they can do whatever they want.....I know they make it real difficult sometimes, with raids and whatnot just to be a-holes and frustrating.

Unfortunately the only way to help with orgs. like norml is to give money. I give a little when I can, if you are poor I understand but it's not gonna happen without money.

Well that is a loaded question. the technixal answer is it is illeagl to grow anywhere in the United States accept at predifined government labs for research. Now some states give medical cards but those states are in violation of federal laws which superceded state or county laws and ordinances which is why you see medicinal weed banks raided in cali.Some states say by thier law its ok if your a register medical grower but in all actuality no your still illegally growing.So the real answer is unless the government has hired you directly for research study it is illegal to grow anywhere in the US
