When to make hash out of trimmings

I got myself a nice set of bubble bags today and I'm wondering when the best time is to make hash out of trimmings, under developed buds etc. I know some people completely trim their stuff wet as soon as they chop it and hang just their nugs and some chop it and hang it to dry it with all the leaves still on and then manicure before going into jars. So what do you get the best hash off of.. Dry trimmings or wet trimmings? Thanks!

I like to do my bubble bags with dry trim .....even better when you stick it in the freezer inside a ziplock over night ......run it twice if you do big batches image.jpg

Alright awesome! I was considering just doing my entire plant as I absolutely love hash, but I do enjoy sitting down and smoking a nice Palma Dutch here and there. I think when I start my indoor next month I'm going to do one plant that will be my straight up hash plant!

It's all in what you enjoy ....I get rid of large fans first ....then I do a rough trim into a cardboard box ....dry it for 4 to 6 days then I do final trim into another container ....once .....then into the freezer all my trim goes in large zip lock bags then I just have a hash making party with my personal family ...brothers etc

The best hash product comes from WET sugar leaf and popcorn bud...frozen immediately after harvest. Gives the darkest, gooiest product with the least extra plant material. The unfortunate thing is I'm now convinced that dry trimming with the GreenBroz machine gives the best finished product in terms of flowers. I guess I'd prefer to have great looking and smelling flowers and process dry sugar leaf into hash than go the wet trim route in order to make better hash.

I trimmed up all my bigger fan leaves last night after chopping her down even though they probably don't have any trichomes on them I saved them and put them in the freezer because it won't hurt to run it through the bags just in case there is some trichs on the stems. I left the smaller leaves that have trichomes and all the sugar leaves on. Tomorrow night it will have been hanging for 48hours so I'll pull it down and do a final trim/manicure and also take off whatever small under developed popcorns that aren't worth saving and freeze them over night. Thursday morning I'll run it all through my bags.

Doesn't drying take longer than 2 days? Or am I thinking curing?
I'm hanging for much more than two days. The method of drying I'm going with is, removing all the larger fan leaves and hanging the whole plant with all the medium sized/small fan leaves and sugar leaves on for 48 hours in the dark with a fan blowing under them. After 48 hours I will take it down and do a final trim/manicure of the remaining fan/sugar leaves and then separate the plant by branch. After doing that I will hang the branches individually again in the dark with a fan moving air around for another 5 days give or take depending on how fast they are drying. Slow and steady wins the race. So in total it will be hang drying for at least 7 days maybe longer.

I just seperate my plants from the get go ....but there's also no way I could hang an entile plant .....some of my branches look like entire plants for some people ......I just like to de fan while plants still up than take branches and do a quick trim into boxes .....hang it for 4 to 7 days depending ...then I do a final trim into a bucket or whatever .....that's where my popcorn and best trim goes ......there's a million different ways to skin a cat ...to each there own ....hash parties this weekend

I want to keep my fan leaves to either have as filler for my bowls. Or to attempt making a small thai stick. Might need bigger plants. I don't know.

Why tho the 73 micron doesn't melt properly even if you rejuvenate the resin you go from full melt bubble to rosin pressing it or bowl packer or edible grade. Fresh frozen makes best hash hands down need any tips just ask I make it all regularly bout to take a half pound Kandy Kush plant cut it down use it whole for full melt lol I make a lot of hash of every type except co2 and propane

Edit: your 120micron on the first run should be full melt as well

I guess I'm not using 100% fresh but not really that dry either. As the leaves won't be dry dry after just 48hours of hanging upside down. So my hash should be somewhere in the middle between the best and good I guess? Lol the bubble bags I grabbed is a 5 bag system. The guy at the hydro shop told me the 8 bag system is kinda pointless and that the 5 bag system gets the job done just as good. And is almost half the cost. I would like to do wax as I've never dabbed and hear it's the bees knees lmao just don't wanna be smoking butane. Also the only reason I'm trying this drying method is because This is my first harvest and I came across this video and this is how the guy did it and he seemed to know his shit so just experimenting I guess.

You take em off the plant put in freezer then make your hash. Live resin, live rosin, and full melt bubble are all better than dry trim being run by a mile
The fan leaves I did clip are in the freezer after my final trim tomorrow night they'll go in the freezer too for the night. My question is, is does it not matter what strain you use will it always be the same potency? Or will the potency change depending on the strain used? My indoor I'm starting next month I would like to do a plant for smoke and 1 plant for just hash or hash and wax etc. I've tried oil that was in an e cigarette tip and really wasn't a fan it didn't really get me that stoned.

I'd say the potency would increase with stronger strains. And be weaker with those that are more middle ground. After all it is all to do with the content of the trichomes.
