you can flower now if you wanted to..

but, you will need to upgrade lights..
turn over from 6500k to 2700k..
    from daylights to soft/warm whites..

    good luck man :D

you could flower now , just remember the plant will be smaller than if you were to be patient and wait a few more weeks.Once you put them into 12/12 it can take up to 60+ days before you harvest, depending on strain.

Now that I see the pictures , I have to say , those plants are light starved. Good luck.

SO if i need more light what do you recomend, and i plan to waite till begining january to flower. i was told i should skip the 12/12 lighting and just go straight blackout for 24-48 hours and it will give me bigger better buds, is that true?

    NO! well, i don't know..
people say to reset the time & all..
but, i saw a couple threads saying the plants drooped like hell..
    it's up to you though..
i did 12/12 right after the 6 hours off..
it only took about a day to get adjusted..
    it's your decision though..

    & i told you..
you need to get 2700k bulbs..
    soft/warm whites..

daylights are no good in flowering..
    well, they can be used..
but, i've heard no good/great thing about it..

    good luck man :)

I would recommend a 400w HPS to flower , but if you can't get that then get more 100-150 wattt CFLs , and put them close , like 2-3inches , to the plant, the picture you show haas the lights WAY too far away. I have read that doing a 36 hour of dark will jump start the plant into flower phase, then keep a 12/12 light cycle.

the 100 watt from HD would work for 1 plant, but i would also continue to use the cfls for supplemental lighting but remember to switch the bulbs to 2700K like Rasta said.

Curious how many lumens is the 100 watt hps from depot?

^ it's the spectrum of the bulb..
    you were using daylights right?
daylights put off a blue-ish colored light..
it's just bright as hell in general..

    as for the soft/warm whites..
    which are 2700k..
they put off a orange/red-ish colored light..

basically, it means to buy more bulbs..
    if you bought daylights..
there is no way you can change that to soft/warm whites..

hope that kind of clarifies things..
& if it doesn't then the attached pictures will..
the first picture shows 6500k light..
& the second picture shows 2700k light..
    notice the difference in color?

    good luck man :D

You'll have to buy a few more lights that output light around the spectrum of 2700K - 3000K. Basically look at the package for one of those numbers. If all else fails, look for some "soft white" or "warm white" lights - they'll have a yellowish tinge compared to most of the ones your currently using.

buy new lights. you can get cfl's in every kind of spectrum or use hps to flower. im not sure wat kelvin hps is but its around or a lil under 2700. the cheap way is to buy 2700k cfls but hps is better
